We will explore the main trails of Costa Rica’s premier National Park, Manuel Antonio Park, to discover the diverse wildlife and fascinating plants that thrive in this Humid Tropical Forest.

Along the way, we will encounter various animals in their natural habitats, including sloths, monkeys, iguanas, birds, spiders, frogs, snakes, and numerous insects. You will get to observe these creatures through my Ultra HD SWAROVSKI SCOPE, and I will capture stunning photos and videos of the animals for you.

After approximately 2 hours of hiking, we will take a short break to recharge before heading to the beach. Here, we will search for the final animals of our hike and discuss the intriguing details of Cathedral Point, which links two of Costa Rica’s finest beaches. I will also show you other trails on a map and explain how to return on your own, or you can choose to come back with me.

We will conclude our adventure with a friendly Pura Vida and a great sense of satisfaction from the experience.

JJ spotted so many cool animals we would’ve missed on our own - Jordan (or JJ) was an amazing guide. You could tell how much he enjoyed what he did and spent a lot of time searching and successfully finding a ton of wildlife. He was super knowledgable about all of the plants, insects, mammals and birds and spotted a lot of things we just would never have seen. He had a great scope and could spot a lot of things from far away which allowed us to see them better and get great photos. We saw monkeys, sloths, snakes, birds insect etc etc. Also getting a guide is 100% worth it as they share info with each other if they spot something cool. Again the experience was great and would highly recommend JJ!

Hiding in plain sight - Mauro was very profesional and accommodating. I took the tour with my 8 year old son and Mauro was great at making things fun for him. All of the guides share animal sighting tips which led us to a baby viper and several sloths. Overall, we saw a lot of cool animals, insects and birds that we definitely would not have seen on our own. They were hiding in plain sight. Thanks Mauro for a great tour.

Excellent value for money, we saw so many cool things! - Fabulous! Our guide 'Mop' was experienced, knowledgeable, and his ability to spot wildlife was super human! You cannot do this reserve without a guide & their telescope you will see absolutely zero wildlife. And the amount we saw with Mop made it great value for money. Don't go early, that's when the crowds are, and you're shaded by canopy a lot anyway so can avoid the heat. We did 10am and it was perfect, some other groups but not too many.

Outstanding tour - Mauro provided an outstanding tour of the flora and fauna of Manuel Antonio. He was extremely knowledgeable and personable, and was more then happy to take pictures through his scope for us. He had a strong report with the other guides, which meant he got a number of good tips on where to find hard to spot species. I would strongly recommend going as early as possible, before the tour bus crowds show up.

Great private tour and guide. - Private tour with Mauro was excellent! He has a wonderful skill in both finding and educating wildlife and birds. Many guides and tour group follow the universal trail in the park and they all help each others in spotting wildlife. What makes Mauro stand out is his personality and he has a wonderful high end spotting scope which he can use to take pictures using your phone. I know it’s tough but take the 7am tour…it’s cooler, less crowded and the animals/ birds are much more active.
