Petrus is PHENOMENAL! - We got off the cruise ship to do this trip and man was it a good call. Petrus knew so much about the history of the island and catered to our needs. I can’t recommend him enough. I’ll be sharing with all of my friends!

Informative - JC was our guide. He made sure we had plenty of time for photos and even took some of us. He was knowledgeable and encouraged our questions. JC made sure we truly enjoyed our tour.

Don’t Hesitate! Book This Tour! - We scored big time with Juan Carlos as our guide! He was full of knowledge about the history of Cozumel, as well as the current day and age of the island. The tour was everything and more! We visited Capilla Santa Cruz, San Gervasio /Mayan Ruins (be sure to use bug spray), visited caves with bats, went tequila tasting and hung out on the east side of the island. The beaches there are in a more natural setting, away from the resort and business settings. For us, it was more relaxing this way. Keep in mind this is during the low season. It was a five hour tour, but the time went by so fast. JC was our own personal guide. He took very good care of us and made us feel like family….Sad we had to say goodbye. Overall, we’re so happy we booked the tour and feel blessed we got JC as our guide! If we come back, we’re requesting him! Leon Tours, you have a gem with JC! Birgit was also very responsive leading up to our tour. She messaged us details regarding our tour and responded in a timely manner to our questions. Another great thing, Leon tours was able to pick us up right outside our hotel (Westin Cozumel). They offer multiple pick up locations, so there is a very good chance you don’t have to travel far for pick up. I highly recommend this excursion. Go for it and book it now!

Excellent tour of a beautiful place with a wonderful guide - Our guide Petrus was funny, engaging, so knowledgable, very very nice. We could not be happier with the places he showed us, the Mayan ruins, beautiful beach on the "wild side" of the island, and all the stories he told us. Both me and my teenage daughter loved the tour.

JC is the man! - I don't have enough space in this review box to describe how great our day with our tour guide JC was. My wife and I came to Cozumel for our honeymoon and decided to book this tour as one of our first activities. I was very pleasantly surprised to find out that this was a private tour for just the two of us. Our tour guide JC was nothing short of fantastic, he was so kind and knowledgeable about all the different aspects of the island and it's history and culture; you can really tell that he cares deeply about Cozumel and it's people. He took us all around the island away from the beaten path, and went out of his way to show us some spots that he thought we'd be interested in. He answered all of our (many) questions with grace and patience and I can't thank him enough for giving us a great introduction to this beautiful place. Give this man a raise!

COZUMEL RUINS BEACH BREAK JUNE 2024 - Juan Carlos (JC) was more than prompt, courteous and professional. The tour was a private one, in a vehicle so were were able to change certain things about the tour we didnt want to see or stay longer than normal at places we did want to stay. We were returned to the ship with plenty of time and we felt safe at all times. The beach had a nice restaurant to eat at. Had good times

Visit with 6yo and 2 72yo parents from cruise ship - Best time we’ve had in Cozumel. Traveled with a 6 year old and my 2 72 year old parents. Very comfortable trip to the ruins. Well worth the time and money compared to other excursions from cruise ships.

The best way to see the island in one day - This tour was exactly what we were looking for. I spent weeks researching available tours on the island that would give us an overall idea of life and history on cozumel and this tour was perfect. Our guide, Juan Carlos, arrived on time, and was sure to make our trip around the island educational and enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better guide, JC being an island native whose family has lived here for generations. We had good conversations and each and every one of our stops were fun, and didn't feel rushed. Since it was just two of us, the San Gervasio tour with our park guide Jorge felt very special and he took great photos of us. We would definitely like to return to the island and share this tour with friends in the future.

Great insight to Cozumel's history & culture. - JC was terrific. We really enjoyed our time with him learning so much about the history & culture of Cozumel. We weren't able to see all of the originally planned sights because some had been closed because of the anticipated hurricane, Beryl.
