Vinh Moc Tunnel - A subterranean village network: Situated in Quang Tri, Vietnam, the Vinh Moc Tunnels served as a haven during the Vietnam War, strategically positioned at the frontier between North and South Vietnam. These underground passageways provided refuge for the inhabitants of Son Trung and Son Ha in Vinh Linh county, Quang Tri Province, amidst the heavy bombardment in the Vietnamese Demilitarized Zone. The construction of the tunnels commenced in 1966 and they remained in use until the beginning of 1972.

Khe Sanh Combat Base - The Khe Sanh Combat Base withstood the war without being captured, yet it was the scene of the conflict’s most ferocious battle. The area witnessed the loss of approximately 500 American soldiers, 10,000 North Vietnamese soldiers, and numerous civilians. Presently, the site is surprisingly tranquil, but in 1968, it was a battleground where the earth shook from the detonation of massive bombs, the firing of white phosphorus shells, napalm, mortars, and continuous artillery barrages as American troops fought fiercely to fend off the NVA.
