The Grand Palace boasts some of the most stunning architectural designs in Asia. It’s a repository of Thai artistry and is home to the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. This provides an ideal introduction to Thailand, its Buddhist beliefs, majestic grandeur, and customs. While it’s no longer inhabited by the royal family, it serves as a symbol of the monarchy. It hosts key landmarks such as the Wat Phra Kaew-Temple of the Emerald Buddha, Coronation Throne Hall, Royal Reception Hall, Royal Funeral Hall, Golden Chedi, and the Royal Pantheon.

  • There are strict Dress Code for visiting the Grand Palace as the Temple of the Emerald Buddha is Thailand’s most sacred site. Men must wear long pants and shirts with sleeves - no sleeveless tops. If you’re wearing sandals or flip-flops you must wear socks (in other words, no bare feet.) Women must be similarly modestly dressed. No see-through clothes, bare shoulders, dresses must be below knee length (preferably covering the ankle), no open-toe shoes, etc. It is also recommended to avoid bright colours).
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Approximately 90 minutes is spent inside the Grand Palace complex.
