DO THIS TOUR! - This tour was so incredible! We opted for the private tour with a pickup and drop off at our hotel. Our tour guide Michael (Mixalis) was great!! He was so knowledgeable of Cretan and Greek history and we learned so much on the tour. He also made it so much fun for us and it felt like we were traveling around the island with our friend. The olive at the olive mill was delicious and we got to taste some Raki as well. The winery was stunning and the wine was also so good. Our final stop was lunch in a village at the base of some mountains with some beautiful views. It was overall a wonderful day and we definitely HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone visiting Crete!

A wonderful day of olive oil and wine - Delightful day with an experienced guide through olive oil tasting at the Kanakis Olive Mill and wine tasting at Dourakis Winery. Vincent provided knowledgeable background during our walk through the olive oil mill and processing facility and shared stories of his time working in the olive orchards (very physical work). We enjoyed his stories about life on Crete and background on the history, culture and lifestyle of the people of Crete. An experienced hiker (and hiking tour guide), he gave us great information about the outdoor activities in the area; and then led us on an enjoyable and very scenic hike. Vincent took us for lunch at a lovely local taverna (well-off the beaten path) where we had a delicious meal of grilled lamb and pork, fava bean salad and Greek salad-wonderful white table wine and Mythos Greek beer. The meal was topped off by the traditional complimentary dessert and raki (distilled alcohol) shots. We loved our day with Vincent and very much enjoyed his company-we highly recommend his tours for history, culture, and hiking.

A great way to spend time in Crete - We had a lovely trip with Michael, who was completely charming and a young American couple it was really friendly and relaxed. The Olive Oil factory was really interesting, nice products to taste and buy, we had a coffee in the cafe before heading off to the wine tasting which was set in a really beautiful winery, stunning views of the hills. The five wines were delicious, and there was no pressure at any time to buy. Lastly, we went to a great family run restaurant called Ippokoronio in the village Nipos.  The food all grown and sourced locally was really excellent and washed down with more wine and raki. My partner and I had a really lovely day, and the trip was worth every penny.

Efcharisto ❤️🇬🇷❤️ - There were three of us on the road with Michalis, our guide, and it was a great experience, both the visit to the olive oil factory, the winery with wine tasting and the meal in a tavern at the most beautiful end of the Cretan world ❤️🇬🇷❤️

Unbelievable Day - This has been genuinely the best day of our holiday in Crete. From start to finish the day was amazing and Maria was a fanatic guide. If you want to experience some genuine and authentic Cretan culture, food and wine then this is the trip for you. Maria was so knowledgable, friendly and fun and made the day for us all. Highly recommend this, you won’t be disappointed.

A great fun day - Started the trip by visiting The Olive oil Mill at Kanakis, it was interesting , informative, from there we went to Dourakis Winery, there we sampled a selection of fine wines, and had a tour. Our guide was Micheal, who made our day enjoyable, he was so knowledgeable, relaxed, and we enjoyed his company, we were a small group of 4, he brought us to lunch at a taverna , a meal was cooked by a family who provide all the produce which was served to us, amazing local food, this trip overall provided us with a real insight to tradition and culture of Crete.Highly recommended .

Amazing and educative tour! - We had the most amazing and memorable day on this tour. Our guide Michalis was very relaxed, thoughtful and knew exactly how to explain everything during the tour. The drive wasn't too long, and the airconditioning was nice. You'll be able to taste a lot of products at the Olive Oil Mill store and ofcourse buy some. The winery was beautiful, staff were kind and wines were delicious. The cellar was interesting and the wine tasting was very relaxed. The lunch was authentic, relaxed and very tasty. An amazing day to remember! Thank you Michalis!
