Great excursion - An excellent guide who explained the details of the lava cave in a fun way. She had archaeological knowledge but spoke in a smooth and funny way.

Thoroughly fun and fascinating - We had a great experience with our tour guide, Aoife. A lovely girl from Ireland with a wonderful smile and cheerful demeanor. She made it very enjoyable. She also was very knowledgeable about the formation of the lava tube, and minerals, etc. She answered every question our group posed to her. We have done other lava caves, but this is clearly one of the largest and most interesting. At this time of year, early June, you can still see the little Ice Ghosts that form from water dripping. They were fun to see and photograph (there are already some photos of them in this listing). However, note that they will be gone as the weather warms up.

Brilliant tour in a magical cave - This was an amazing experience, well worth doing. Our guide was great, really passionate about the cave and really knowledgable - and she treated us to a beautiful song inside the cave at the end which was a magical experience. As it was winter, the paths were very icy and quite hard to walk on, so something to be aware of - but it meant there were beautiful icicles and stalacmites made from ice which just added to the experience and made the cave look even more breathtaking!

Interesting stop - This tour was very interesting, mostly because there is nothing else really like it. The road there is quite bumpy. The best part of the cave is the ice formations. It looks just like the pictures you see on their site.

They do not refund the money even though they promise otherwise on the phone - I do not recommend it, the access road is uncertain and the privacy policy does not protect the consumer in any way. No one takes care of the road during winter and access conditions are extreme. They do not refund the money even though they promise otherwise on the phone. I do not recommend.☹️

Not safety road winter - 1. I do not recommend purchasing a trip. We were driving 4x4 cars from Keflavik and the last 10 km before the cave we had to give up further travel due to the impassable and icy sliding road. Getting to the attraction was dangerous, we called to cancel and ask for a refund because continuing the trip in such conditions would be dangerous. They were told on the phone that they understood that a refund would be possible because of bad weather conditions (safety), we just had to send e-mails. After sending the e-mail, it was decided not to give us the money back. It was suggested to postpone the date, which of course was not possible because we were no longer in Iceland. We feel cheated and do not recommend the attractions - especially in winter.
