Out of this world trip - An amazing day trip from Reykjavik. A long day but definitely worth it. Our driver and guide, Gunn, was the best. She did an amazing job of ensuring each and every one of us had a great day. Kept us informed all the way and entertained us with history, background and knowledge of Iceland. Not only do you get to walk on Myrdalsjokull (Kotlujokull) glacier, walk through Katla ice cave and take a ride in a super jeep, you get to visit Gljufrabui, Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. Plus a visit to Vik and Vikurfjara black sand beach. The ice caves are the highlight of the tour. Amazing! Like being on another planet. The guide for the glacier and caves was excellent, patient and informative. Definitely do this tour!

Best experience with fantastic guides - This was hands down the best experience I had on my trip and I enjoyed everything I did. Thomas was a fantastic guide on the bus, very knowledgeable and interactive. Jakob was absolutely amazing driving the super jeep and leading us up and through the glacier. He was very helpful and paid extra attention to those who needed a little assistance. I would recommend this excursion and these gentlemen 1000 times out of 1000 with zero hesitation! This is a must do if you're an active ,outdoorsy person.

An unforgettable trip to Katla Ice Cave - The unforgettable Katla Ice Cave exploration trip was awe-inspiring for me. The whole trip was filled with the wonders of Icelandic nature. The weather cleared up when we arrived at the lava field, making it easier to explore the cave. We even encountered a rare white fox at the parking lot of the Jeep! On the way into the cave, the black lava and the crystal ice set off each other. Inside the Katla Ice Cave, the blue was deep and shallow, transparent because of the ice, and deep because of the cave, making it uniquely beautiful. Driver-Guide Lili was dedicated and responsible, beautiful and attentive. She recommended many local restaurants, food, activities, etc. along the way. Thank you for your professional team!

Amazing view but difficult walk - The ice cave was amazing. I've been to ice caves in Akaska and on the Alps; this one is unique because it is located in a volcano and so the surrounding is not covered in snow, making the landscape and view very different from the other ice caves I've seen. However, this trip might be difficult, even frightening, for people that are not used to outdoor activities. The description of the trip make it sounds like the ice cave is easily accessible, but that's not the case. You have to walk up a very steep hill, and back. Most part of the trail is narrow, and you are walking by the edges. The worst part is the tour guide is very used to the landscape so he went very fast, making it very pressuring for people at the back. I was struggling to catch my breath, not fall, and catch up with the tour guide. I would not recommend it to people who does not like outdoor activities or are afraid of heights.
