Highlights
  • Reykjavik - Departure from Reykjavík. We pick up all the travelers and later we will leave for the highlands. Before heading in, we will pick up passengers in Selfoss and Hella.
  • Volcano Hekla - From our vehicle, we can enjoy the wonderful views that the Hekla volcano offers us.
  • Landmannalaugar - Trekking in Landmannalaugar. Without a doubt, the greatest attraction of Landmannalaugar is its landscapes, and there is nothing better than seeing them from above. We will do a short trekking where we will ascend the Brennisteinsalda. We will enjoy the tour with our guide, who will be informing us and giving details in a continuous and enjoyable way. Once at the top, we will make a stop to rest, enjoy the wonderful landscape and have lunch.
  • Landmannalaugar Bathing Place - Once our trekking is finished, we will enjoy a pleasant bath in hot springs where we will relax our muscles. Remember, on one side the water is colder and on the other it is hotter :)
  • Reykjavik - Return to Hella, Selfoss and Reykjavík.
We hope you have enjoyed your trip.

A memorable hike! - This is probably the best activity I have ever done in Iceland so far! I can really recommend this trip! It is truly a experience and seeing the extremely beautiful nature! I'm not at all a experienced hiker and this was my real first hike. I would recommend anyway that you walk a lot before you do this. It will help you a lot since there are some tough hills to walk up on. But this is a hike a lot of people can do, so don't miss this one out if you visit Iceland in summer. The bus journey to Landmannalaugar is very long, and shaky at times, but all of that will be worth it once you arrive! The guide was really good! He told us a lot of interesting infromation about Landmannalaugar. Once again, I can really recommend this!

Don't miss this spot! - Favorite part?? Tough to puck between the hike & the hot springs after!! The whole area is so unique, would love to camp there for a few nights & get in a couple hikes and soak up this unique spot.

August 2023 review - Great place to hike, parts of the trail look like as if I were on another planet. The weather was nice on the day of the trip, which made all of my photos turn out nice (guide was also very helpful with these). Definitely would go again if given the chance.

Excellent - Excellent treatment and very good excursion. It is a remote area where it is better not to go by conventional car. The excursion is ideal to do with the family.

Skipped stops in the itinerary + not an English friendly tour - Generally the trip was ok, and the guide was nice. But I had two major concerns - 1. The bus looked fine from the outside, but was super uncomfortable. Very cramped leg space - which is a huge problem, when you go on such a bumpy ride 2. They skipped the Blahylur crater lake, which was mentioned in the itinerary. We got up from Selfoss and they took us straight to Landmannalaugar with just a stop in Hella Please note - this is a predominantly Spanish trip, so best avoided for English speakers. This was one of the few trips that did a pickup from Selfoss - which is why we chose this one. We had a great time, but literally paid $350 for just a point to point bus ride!
