Something for everyone - This is an excellent museum and well worth a visit. It covers so much, in an interesting and interactive way. Some of our favorite features were the ice cave, the volcano exhibit, the northern lights movie, the interactive games and exhibits, etc. There is a rooftop patio that provides 360 degree views of Reykjavik, a cafe and a gift shop, which are all worth the visit. Free parking too.

A Complete Iceland Experience - I particularly enjoyed the volcano show on the 2021 Geldingadalir eruption; the photography was superb. The Forces of Nature show was also excellent. The entire museum is dedicated to introducing visitors to a total Iceland experience. The Ice Cave, the seabird cliff, the gallery showing the geologic history of Iceland, and the Northern Lights show were all incredible and well worth the visit.

Really nice activity for families and individuals that are interested in learning about the island. - We got there at 9:00 am, just before they opened and it was the best decision. It takes around two hours to visit the entire museum (including the shows). By 11, as we were leaving, there were a couple of big groups walking in. There are interactive exhibits. The ice cave really cold (bundle up!!!). The planetarium good. The 360 observation deck allows you to see the entire city and beyond. Lastly, there is a nice coffee place at top floor, really cute where you can enjoy the views while you grab something to eat and or drink.

Best museum EVER! - This was, hands down, the best museum either of us have ever been to! It was so interesting, immersive & interactive, we just loved it! We LOVED the Ice cave, the Aurora Show, the Volcano Experience, and all the wonderful technically immersive learning. It was my third trip to Reykjavik and this was the best thing I've done there!

Amazing exhibition - A very informative museum about Iceland and everything is explained in a fun way. We saw the Arora and the volcano show and both were a very nice experience. We visited this on our first day and the rest of the trips we had fun discussing the geological factors when we visited the sights.

Definitely worth a visit. - As we visited Iceland during the summer we knew that we wouldn't get to see the Northern Lights for real but the show at the centre was amazing! The walk through the ice cave was also fun. The cafe was expensive, but most of the food and drink costs more in Iceland than the UK so we were expecting this. I would definitely recommend a visit to the centre. We took our time going around and visited all of the exhibitions. We were at the centre for about 5 hours.

Enjoyable visit! - The ice cave was the highlight of the museum- very realistic. The films on northern lights and volcanos could have been better. They set a mood but did not talk much about the science behind these phenomena. The explanations on climate change, and glaciers were very well done. Overall, enjoyable but not as much of a wow as I expected.

Tour Bus Stop At Perlan - The Perlan exhibits of creatures were well done. The Wonders of Iceland show was not a typical 180 degree half sphere of a typical IMAX or planetarium show. It was a film projected onto a wall screen. The ice cave wait was very crowded with a wait time of 20 minutes due to a deluge of 3-4 tour buses converging at once. Tour buses should be required to schedule arrival times to be staggered. However, it was a great educational exhibit without risks of visiting actual glaciers or real ice caves. The 360 degree panorama on the 4th Floor was exceptional in its access and beautiful vistas. This is a lovely place to visit & spend 60 to 90 minutes overall.
