It's worth it - I booked a private tour in Spanish for some friends. The destinations and views are impressive, well worth it. The guide Emilie was wonderful, she supported them beyond the excursion service.

The personal touch was awesome - We scheduled this trip through the hotel. Jonas, our driver, picked us up right on time from the airport to do the Golden Circle Tour. He was extremely personable, and we asked him lots of questions about life in Iceland. He explained everything to us and even took us to an ice cream place on a farm. Iceland is absolutely beautiful. We highly recommend Jonas and this company.

Personalized, fabulous trip - We had an absolutely amazing experience with Jacob. He took the time to find out our interests and catered our tour to that. He was very kind and shared w/us tidbits of knowledge that we would have not received from more general tours. We felt like we made a friend by the end—lifelong memories made! Thank you!

Great unforgettable experience - We spent a wonderful day with our guide Daniel and had a lot of fun. Although the weather was - typical Icelandic - very changeable, we could enjoy the beauty of the landscape very much. Daniel took very good care of us and responded to our personal wishes and needs. He told us many interesting things about the country and its people and many funny stories. Thank you very much for the wonderful time!

Best hot spring in Iceland - Private tour for the golden circle with Gunni, he was an amazing tour guide. Told us a lot of facts on the tour but also made it personal as well. Especially helpful with our mum who had recently broken her ankle and would do all he could to make the tour easier for her. We all loved the hot spring to end the day amazing views, he knows all the tricks to skip the tourist traps! Fantastic day and we'd all love to do another day tour with Gunni again!

SAVE YOUR MONEY-DO NOT USE THIS TOUR COMPANY-UNETHICAL AND TERRIBLE GUIDE - I held off writing this review while I disputed the charge but looks like the owner doesn't want to take ownership of lying to be and providing terrible service. SAVE YOUR MONEY and do it on your own or go with another tour company! Here are the details : A specific experience guide at this company was highly recommended to me and I wrote an email even addressing it to him (I later saw this was a general mailbox address). Someone wrote me back saying "I" would love to show you Iceland...didn't sign their name but no reason to think it wasn't the person I wrote to. I booked the tour and I was baffled when a woman showed up as my guide ( and I mentioned his name, she said she had never heard of him. Her son worked for company and this was only their second outing! When I got in the vehicle, I looked up the person on linked in that I thought I was meeting and found out that he LEFT the company a year ago! NO ONE said anything in my first email that he had left the company but they would still like my business...totally unethical!! THE OWNER NEVER RESPONDED to my email about the email or all all of the issues with the guide that I've listed below...I didn't even tell him about the vehicle needing the jumpstart! - Guide was not properly trained on how to use the microphone-the only people who could hear her were two in the front (we were six) - Reykjavik Outventure did not access her knowledge of the various sites and if they did and still sent her out, shame on them. Mostly she googled and read from her phone. - She pointed out the Kerid Crater to us and when we asked if we could stop, we were informed that we could not stop in order to make our last appointment in time.… she then took out her phone for us to see what we would’ve seen. Given this was a private tour, she should’ve been able to accommodate us by providing options to adjust the schedule so we could stop but still reach the final destination in time..ie, cut our lunch time or less time at Thingvellir. Additionally, I added the baths to the tour in lieu of the secret lagoon at the company’s suggestion (whomever wrote the email). If they didn’t think we would have time to see all the sites of the Golden Circle, this should’ve been put forth in the planning stage. - At each stop we were dropped off and given a time and location to meet the bus. This shocked me. The reason one hires a private guide is to have someone accompany you which elevates the experience- real time insights and answers to questions. -we had to get the vehicle jump started because her husband, the driver did something which drained the battery AND reduced our time seeing the sites - Company did not have them map out the route in advance. We were headed to the Hvammsvik Baths and when we came to a T in the road, they stopped because they weren’t sure where to go. I pulled up the directions on my phone which indicated to go right. Passed it up to the front of the vehicle since i was sitting in the back but they ignored it, went with their instincts and turned left.. After travelling about 10 minutes, they realized they made a mistake and had to turn back. The late arrival cut our experience short because we had to get back to Reykjavik for a dinner reservation. - She had to call the company because they weren’t provided with all the correct elements of my trip( they did not know I paid for the Hvammsvik baths in advance) -Most tours that I've taken supply a bottle of water...not expensive but this company did not
