Visitors must wade through a shallow stream and climb up some rocks to reach the waterfall, which cascades down into a serene pool. The cave-like setting adds to the magical atmosphere of this unique waterfall, making it a favorite among photographers.
• Skógafoss - Travel to the destination will take about 40 minutes
• Skogafoss - Skógafoss is a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the country, with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 meters. The waterfall is situated on the Skógá River, which originates from the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. The water cascades down the cliffs in a powerful stream, creating a mist that can be seen from afar. On sunny days, rainbows often form in the mist, adding to the waterfall’s stunning beauty.
