Highlights
  • Reykjavik - Generally our tours start from the city of Reykjavik, if you have a pickup location outside of the city, there is a chance that the pickup time may need to be altered. We will endeavour to contact you if this is the case.
  • Seljalandsfoss - Travel to the first destination will take around 2 hours
  • Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is a magnificent waterfall that drops 60 meters down from the cliffs above. What makes this waterfall truly unique is that visitors can walk behind it, experiencing the power of the water and the mist that surrounds them. This makes for an incredible photo opportunity, especially during the winter months when the waterfall is surrounded by snow and ice.
  • Gljufrabui Waterfalls - Just a short walk from Seljalandsfoss is Gljúfrabúi, a hidden gem tucked away in a narrow canyon. This waterfall is much smaller than Seljalandsfoss, but it is equally impressive in its own right. Visitors must wade through a shallow stream and climb up some rocks to reach the waterfall, which cascades down into a serene pool. The cave-like setting adds to the magical atmosphere of this unique waterfall, making it a favorite among photographers.
  • Skógafoss - Travel to the destination will take about 40 minutes
  • Skogafoss - Skógafoss is a breathtakingly beautiful waterfall. It is one of the largest waterfalls in the country, with a width of 25 meters and a drop of 60 meters. The waterfall is situated on the Skógá River, which originates from the glacier Eyjafjallajökull. The water cascades down the cliffs in a powerful stream, creating a mist that can be seen from afar. On sunny days, rainbows often form in the mist, adding to the waterfall’s stunning beauty.
  • Reynisfjara Beach - Travel to the destination will take about 30 minutes
  • Reynisfjara Beach - The black sand of Reynisfjara is made up of basalt, which was formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago. The beach is framed by towering basalt cliffs, which create a dramatic and otherworldly landscape. The waves crashing against the shore create a mesmerizing sound and add to the natural beauty of the area.

One of the most impressive features of Reynisfjara is the Reynisdrangar sea stacks, which rise up out of the sea just off the shore. Legend has it that these stacks were once trolls who were turned to stone by the rising sun. The stacks provide a stunning backdrop for the beach and are a popular subject for photographers. Visitors can also take a hike to nearby cliffs to see the famous puffins, which nest during the summer months.

  • Solheimajokull Glacier - Travel to the destination will take about 30 minutes
  • Solheimajokull Glacier - Visiting Sólheimajökull and taking part in a glacier walk is a unique opportunity to witness the power and majesty of Iceland’s glaciers. With its stunning vistas, unique geological formations, and rich cultural history, Sólheimajökull is a must-see destination for anyone traveling to Iceland’s south coast. Choose to visit the viewpoint or explore the glacier up close and personal. Guided tours on the glacier are available as an optional extra in the checkout, visitors are provided with all the necessary equipment, including crampons, helmets, and ice axes.

The glacier walk takes visitors across the rugged terrain of the glacier, through ice tunnels and crevasses, and up to the top of the glacier where they can take in the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Our tour guides are knowledgeable about the history and geology of the glacier and offer insights into the unique features and formations that make Sólheimajökull so special.

BEST Spring Break Trip Ever! - We had a wonderful experience with Thomas and EV Travel. Not only was the communication prior to our arrival both prompt and professional but our experience in Iceland was superb. We booked multiple tours over the course of our stay directly with EV Travel. (The drop-down menu will only let me select one but we loved each tour we went on with EV Travel). Booking all excursions direclty with Thomas and EV Travel allowed us to be flexible with the tours to capitalize on changing weather conditions. I was traveling with my kids (ages 17, 16, 14 and 10) and truly appreciated the ease of pick-ups/drop-offs each day. Thomas was very knowledgeable and answered my children's many questions with grace and patience. They learned a lot during our week in Iceland about glaciers, volcanos, Icelandic history and culture. We all agreed it was probably the best vacation we have taken together. We are so appreciative that Thomas and EV Travel helped us plan and execute this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
