City Sights with Siggy! - Siggy was an exceptional tour guide! If you do this tour in Reykjavik, requesting Siggy is a must. My parents are senior citizens and have some mobility issues and Siggy customized the tour so that they would still see all the sights without exhausting themselves. He was incredibly professional, kind and humorous and at the end of the day, he felt like family. We loved seeing all the city sights with Siggy's story telling and wished we had all day with him!

Great personalized tour. - Our driver picked us up at the cruise port. He asked what we wanted to see and we told him this was our first trip to Reykjavik. He took us to the concert hall, it was very impressive architecture. He took us to other sites. He suggested Fly Iceland which is a "ride" where you feel like you are flying over Iceland as your chair tips and there is mist as you "fly" by waterfalls. (This was an additional cost.) He took us to the big Lutheran Church, Hallgrimskirkja. We asked him to take us to someplace where we could get lunch. He took us to Cafe Loki which is across from th church. We had a very good meal there. We had asked that he take us to the airport ( for an additional fee but well worth it). On the way to the airport, he told us about some of the sights we were seeing and pointed out the erupting volcano. This was a great way to pass time before our 5 o'clock flight after our cruise.

Iceland, the land of Aurora - The most beautiful part of Iceland/Reykjavik is of course, the nature. The stark white landscape with the underlying volcanos, the geothermal geysers, the frozen waterfalls, the Ocean, and the highlight of the place, the Aurora Borealis, aka Northern lights every single one is worth a mention by itself. We went on a tour by Reykjavik sightseeing tours and our guide Cristina was amazing Not just informative, but proactive. A couple on the bus lost their phone on the tour in a waterfall and she contacted another tour operator who was just reaching there, got them to pick it up, and got them to deliver it to them. Kudos Cristina. For travellers, a word of caution keep track of the days when you can and cannot see the Aurora. Keep an extra day. They are not visible if there are clouds and rains and then the trip is a waste. Please carry lots of woolens, it goes down to -21 °C. Keep your eyes open for open spaces where there are no street lights (especially near the ocean) where you may see the lights without a tour(we did!) Carry shoes that are suitable for ice. Ice is slippery. Enjoy like we loved Reykjavik.

Great introduction to Iceland. Great tour! - The highlight of our first day in Iceland was Oak Travel’s Reykjavik Sightseeing Tour with Christian. He promptly met us at our hotel with a very comfortable Mercedes. As he glided through the narrow streets of downtown Reykjavik, he introduced himself, asked us what our interests were and tailored the trip to us. He was very informative and personable. We visited all the landmarks of the city as well as some of the hidden gems. For instance, there is still a salmon run in the city limits with a fish ladder, making it easier for salmon to negotiate the river’s weir. It was an excellent tour and gave us a better understanding of the city.

Review of tour of Reykjavik - We had a driver who had never done the tours, just drove people back and forth to the airport. Did not go to all the spots we were told we would stop at. Had to constantly ask questions to get him to talk. He was a very nice man but we took the tours to see the city of Reykjavik and learn about the history and highlights. Would not recommend this tour group
