Once in a lifetime experience - Once in a lifetime experience for our family of six. Our guide, Sara, was great! She got us all outfitted in dry suits and prepared for the dive. She also took some great pictures. So cool!!

Artic adventures did a great job - Once in a lifetime experience. We drove our rental car to the site. Artic gives you the directions on where to park. Meeting point easy to find since you drive right by it. Wool socks worked great. You change into warming suit they provided outside, then they help you get into wet suit. Everyone had "long johns" or leggings that they wore under the warming suit. Warming suit was like a one piece thermal suit. Bathroom on site. Artic gives plenty of instructions and guides are scuba verified. Very professional in every aspect. One person who had never snorkled quit soon after entering the water and another had to get towed (pulled into the exit point). Both were 20 something. Plenty of people in 60's who were not very fit made it without any issues. If you don't give up easy and have snorkled before, you should be fine. Probably 40 minutes in water. Just float on your back if tired. Very clear water and tatonuc plate opening is as far as you can see. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Amazing snorkeling experience in the Silfra Fissure - We were well prepared having read the guide before hand. We had brought wool socks, thermals, and a change of clothes (that was left in our car). Parking in P5 was 1,000 isk. The whole process from checking in to the snorkel and then finishing with hot chocolate was a little under 2 hours. A few things to mentally prepare yourself for: 1. the dry suit is a bit heavy and tight around the neck. 2. Your hands will likely get a bit cold as water will get in your neoprene gloves. 3. With your thermals, their base layer, and then dry suit your body is surprising warm and very buoyant. 4. When you first look down into the water it very daunting and seems so deep, just give it a minute and relax and you will settle in. 5. Make sure to go to the bathroom before you get your dry suit on as it will be a long time before you can go to the bathroom. Our guides Yannis and Francesca were both amazing. The whole process was down to an art and science from putting on the gear properly and in proper order to supporting you in every way possible. In the water they asked often if everyone was ok and feeling good. I appreciated seeing our masks and snorkels getting cleaned as soon as we were done using them. It was wonderful that they took pictures and they clearly explained how to retrieve them.

Unique experience with otherworldly nature - This was the highlight of my solo trip to Iceland. Truly a unique experience, snorkeling in near-zero degree water with insane visibility. The guides did a great job, shout out to Yannis for the great tour and laughs along the way. I especially liked the new Little Silfra fissure, and how everything was so clear that it felt right next to you. You can even drink the water!

Unique Adventure - The experience itself was remarkable. I was disappointed in the photos I received, I was very far away and you could essentially not tell it was me and did not show the beauty of the snorkel. Was disappointed not to leave with a better keepsake of the experience.

STAY AWAY FROM ARTIC ADVENTURES - If you are sick, they will NOT refund you. I was sick the day we took off for Iceland and was given antibiotics for an upper respiratory infection which includes asthma like symptoms. The next day we showed up for our silfra snorkeling, we were turned away for safety. As disappointing as it was, the lady was very nice and we contacted who they said to contact regarding a refund. This was a once in a lifetime experience for us- it cost nearly $300. They keep saying because I have a medical condition and didn’t fill out a form I will not get the refund. I DO NOT HAVE ASTHMA. I DO NOT have a medical condition!! We are young healthy and fit! I was sick, and was totally fine the next day. I even asked for a half refund to be understanding. They will not help, and we feel we were robbed as we could have done the experience but wanted to be understanding of the circumstances, only to have them keep our $300!!!
