Perfect daytrip - We were a group of four, from Iceland and Lithuania, and all of os had a fantastic time with Reykjavik Sailors!!! The guide was professional, funny and very knowledgeable. We got to see a lot of puffins and other seabirds, some bigger types of whales and we had docents of dolphins swim and play all around us. The sailing was smooth, you could by drinks and snacks on board and they even offered everyone seasickness tablets (for those who needed one) and warm overalls to use, free of charge. I highly recommend a tour with Reykjavik Sailors to everyone :)

Awesome - In one word, great experience. Whales, bluefin dolphins, puffins and gannets. The guide was clearly audible and as soon as there was something to see he immediately reported it.

Great experience - Great experience to go whale watching. They have 2 times available- 9am and 1pm. The boat was comfortable, with plenty space and seating both indoors and outdoors. Viewing decks were perfect to be able to see whales. They provided clean comfortable waterproof sailing coats of all sizes so you're ready and covered even if you don’t come fully prepared. They definitely care about your time with them as they had anti-sickness tablets available as well as sickbags. So on to the experience- went on the afternoon trip. had a great guide on the boat who was able to point out where to look and what to look out for so we caught loads of great photos and videos. Got to see loads of whales, both eating, diving and blowing. Also schools of dolphins swimming too! Overall a great experience and I'd recommend the tour with these.

Very informative experience - The experience was overall excellent. The tour guide shared so many whale facts with us. We only ended up seeing one whale but the whale came up many times. The views were also incredible. I would highly recommend whale watching with them. Plus you also get a discount at the whale museum which was my favorite destination of the trip.

Beautiful Views - While my tour did not see any whales, the crew went the extra mile so we could see some White Beaked Dolphins. They were gorgeous and playful. The tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. It was also nice having snacks and beverages available for purchase. I went in March 2024 during volcanic activity. Out in Faxaflói bay, I could see the smoke from the volcanic eruption in Grindavík.

One of the best things to do in Iceland - Great ship, and the crew was interactive and entertaining! We even saw a couple of whales, and lots of dolphins. A must do!!!

Small boat, avoid with motion sickness - The boat guides and staff were awesome which is why I’m giving this 4 stars. This is a small boat that rocked so much that 30% of those on the boat were holding vomit bags. I don’t recommend this tour for anyone who has issues with sea sickness (even with meds).

Relaxing boat experience - Only had 1 whale on the trip and lots of dolphins. In general I thought it was a pleasant experience, just depends on the weather and the luck of the boat trip in regards to what you see. There are indoor and outdoor viewing areas, with bathrooms on board. There is also motion sickness medicine available and rain suits for free if needed. I thought the experience was overall relaxing

It was ok- the tour guide... - It was ok- the tour guide was trying really hard to be funny and it’s just cringy humor. No whales were seen, instead the company offers a “complimentary” tour again, how about a partial refund? Most travelers will not visit Iceland again.

Terrible experience! - We joined this tour as it was a combined tour with Northern Lights Tour by boat. But the Northern Lights Tour was cancelled on the day of departure and it was too late to cancel the whale watching tour. We had a refund for the Northern Lights Tour but since we took the transfers in the morning, they couldn't refund us even though we paid for 2 transfers for 2 tours. We felt cheated as it was not clear that the transfers were not refundable if the tours were cancelled. As for the whale watching tour, the boat was too crowded and there are issues of insufficient seats. There were too many people crowding at the decks to look for the whales. After a few moments of squeezing with the crowd, we decided to just stay indoors. Luckily, the staff took photos of the whales and we were able to download the photos. We had a much better experience when we took the whale watching tour at Hauganes.
