Amazing tour guides, fabulous sites to see and great views - I would really recommend going on the tour with Manos going - Anthony our bus driver and Katirina(? So sorry we can’t remember the spelling) our tour guide were amazing! The bus was air conditioned & had bottles of water available to purchase for about 50c, which were definitely needed as it was very hot. The ruins of Kamiros were great to look round, and our guide found a great shady spot at the top of the hill to talk about everything we could see before letting us go off and explore. Great ruins and well preserved with a good view from the top. This is very hot in the sun so bring a hat, and sensible shoes! A side note, there are toilets there also but may be a queue. We then set off to our photo stop fort Kitrinia, where we climbed up to the top of the fort, with everything we could see explained to us and had a great view. The view from the absolute top of the fort was amazingly clear & we could see all the other islands from there too. This was a bit uneven as there are no steps and no handrail going up to the top, just rocks, so if you are not mobile or a bit wobbly on your feet I would recommending skipping that part (although if you are able bodied 100% go for it!). We then got back on the coach, thankfully the air conditioning was working well as we were a bit hot by then & set off to our next stop Empona for lunch. Here we were given the option of eating with ‘Mama’ at the restaurant that they recommended or going elsewhere. We went with the tour guides recommendation & it did not disappoint. We had two starters each: a Greek salad of feta, tomato, cucumber & olives, and also meatballs and tzatziki. There was a choice of mains so we had the Greek chicken, rice & potatoes/chips, and also the moussaka which was to die for. This was washed down with a big jug of white wine, and followed with some fruit. We also had a basket of bread, olive oil & vinegar - total cost €16!! We then set off back, stopping off at the little church on the way which was beautiful and again our guide imparted her knowledge about the place and what everything meant, and then we had a stop at the fountain to see the little Greek fish and Koi (remember to take some bread with you from lunch). We had a trip back to the hotel & had a lot of sights to see. What a great tour for the money & they really looked after us!

Great trip - We loved this trip! Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about her subject matter and we learned a lot. There are quite a few stops so you only get a short time in each, but it was enough! We particularly enjoyed seeing the ruins at Kamiros

Genuinely wonderful - The trip down the west coast of the island is wonderful because it is less touristy and less frequented so it was quiet and we got to see so much. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, she told us everything about the island history but also what it is like now, how people live, earn money, the forest fires, the weather, the agriculture and exports. She knew everything and her husband was an archaeologist who was part of uncovering the ancient city of Kamiros she showed us around so she had so much knowledge on the excavations. The entire trip was amazing, everything we saw and were told was fascinating I would absolutely do this again! Only advice is that the climb to the fort is tricky and uneven so wear practical footwear.

Fantastic day out! - We had a brilliant day! Katerina was an excellent tour guide and was extremely knowledgable. Every stop was interesting and we felt we had just the right amount of time at each place. Communication from the company was great, they emailed straight after booking to confirm our itinerary, the day before to confirm details with us, and even rang me the morning of to let us know they were running slightly late due to an issue with the bus but would be with us soon. Would highly recommend!

Good day trip for thise interested in history - Kamiros and Kristinia's Castle. Also Katerina's commentary was excellent, both on the sites visited and on Rhodes in general. The timings for the visits to different sites was about right. The bus was comfortable and the a/c worked well on a very hot day.

Well worth it - It was a beautiful day where visibility across the coastline was terrific. The ruins at kamiros are fascinating and the views from the fort are breathtaking. Pick up bang hang on time. our guide (Katharina) was extremely knowledgable, engaging and enthusiastic. My only observation for improvement , was that the time spent at Filerimos was a little excessive - if you didn’t want lunch (which we didn’t) there wasn’t a huge amount of time to occupy 90mins.
