Beautiful island! - Excellent trip! Nice boat ride. Monastery visit was just OK. I don't swim but those who did had fun. Symi was beautiful and I love that I could visit independently rather than with a guide. Free to explore with time for lunch.

Well organised trip to a beautiful location - The comfortable, air conditioned bus collected us punctually very close to our hotel. The guides provided our boat tickets and gave us clear instructions for the return transfer. The boat is large with plenty of seating available. The first stop in Panormitis monastery was quite crowded with not a lot to see, but the views from outside are stunning. 3.5 hours was plenty of time in Symi town which is breathtakingly beautiful. Overall we had a magical day out, and the ManosGoing team ensured it was stress free. Well worth doing for anyone staying in Rhodes.

Nice visit to Simi, but welcome on the boat could be better. - The visit to Simi was generally a nice day trip. You can walk around nicely and rest in a nice restaurant or nice bar. The visit to the monastery is disappointing and quite chaotic. Nice on the outside, but there is nothing to see on the inside. Luckily, the entrance is free. The boat trip itself does indeed take a long time. We unfortunately had the accident that the bus that picked us up at the hotel stopped fairly far from the boat, while it poured rain with pipe stems outside. We had to hurry enormously to follow a woman who was going to lead us to the boat, while we were all rained down to our socks. People who had a little difficulty walking were also not taken into account that they were lagging behind enormously. Once on the boat we were stopped in a rather busy and unfriendly way to show our ticket, while we were completely soaked and did not have our mobile phone immediately at hand for that. A slightly warmer welcome after such a struggle through the rain would have been nice. Bad start to the day, but fortunately later we were able to put it into perspective from when we were in Simi city.

Very long day.... - It felt a very long day at 9 hours. Symi Island was beautiful to look at but there wasn't much more than you saw on the approach. The person taking the boarding passes insulted us with a fat joke before we got on but just ignored it. We took the boat to the monastery first for a one hour stop which was done in far less. We were back on the boat to Symi. We used the little train like the ones at the seaside to take us 20 minutes around the coast waited 5 minutes and came back. There wasn't anything to see. There was the remains of a castle/Fort on the hill but wasn't sure if you could visit, the leaflet we were given said it had been destroyed in 1944 and there seemed to be a gate across. There weren't any people walking up the hill which was quite a track to find out. The harbour had very little shade except for the restaurants and gift shops that covered the front of the harbour. We went to one overly priced restaurant and looked through the menu. It was several pages of obviously what they served some history then the very last pages was service charges that weren't included in the price which was 13% on food and 24% on alcohol. Everyone is different and may really enjoy the experience, we were looking for a distraction from the poolside but it wasn't worth a 9 hour round trip. There are other trips like Lindos that are so more engaging than this one.
