Tourist - I have been to the valley on my own many years ago and arrangements on this excursion are excellent and I would do it with them again.

Not to be missed. - A lovely day out. Wonderful views from Filerimos Hill and ample time to explore the monastery and site of the cross. The peacocks were on form with a very colourful display. Even given that there were not many butterflies with it being too early in the season, the valley was worth seeing and exploring. We would advise that you go up to the upper part of the valley first. This is a well-organised trip with enough time in both places.

A wonderful experience at a fantastic price! - Filerimos was a great experience with its breathtaking views of the countryside and the beautiful peacocks. We even got to see baby ones! And they were so tame they literally ate out of our hands! The Valley of the Butterflies was beautiful. There were butterflies everywhere and it was nice and cool. A bit busy but that’s to be expected. I was sad to see people clapping to make them fly, which causes the poor butterflies a lot of trauma and eventually kills them. Some people have no respect for nature. Even after the trip was over, my husband accidentally forgot his phone on the bus and our driver, Mihalis, promptly returned it. Very reliable people!

Stunning views and wildlife - We were collected in a comfortable aircon coach and taken first to Filerimos hill which had stunning view's and the peacocks were in abundance with the males happy to perform for you. Then we went to the butterflies which I think was still a little early for the full amount to be there but there was still plenty to see and the walk up the valley was stunning but it is a hard climb if you want to get to the top. But once up there you can have have cold drinks and ices from cafe. This was a great half day trip and Kalibra were so helpful as we had to move trip at short notice due to illness. They could not have been more helpful. Thank

Tour of two halves. - We visited Filerimos Hill first which I would have given 5 stars. It cost 6 euros each to get in and was well worth it. If you like history and appreciate architecture. There were many different remains on the site spanning history and it felt so peaceful. The view from the top was amazing and there were plenty of peacocks roaming round if you'd like to see them. The Valley of the Butterflies also cost 6 euros each to go in and this is where I remove the 2 stars. It ran 1km up hill one way and a little further if you went downhill first. It wasn't really busy but you still felt rushed if you wanted to stop as the paths were so narrow. There were viewing platforms but you got blocked in as again they were narrow. Though it was mid August there weren't many butterflies. The paths were half cobbled and uneven so you had to watch your footing. It was not for me but could suit many other people. Couldn't fault the tour operator though, the driver was great, very polite. The mini bus was comfortable and air conditioned and was early for pick up.

Beware no butterflies in the valley - The most memorable part of the trip was getting to the valley of the butterflies to be told there are no butterflies until June!!! Why would a tour company advertise this trip knowing there are no butterflies!!!
