Amazing journey for a great value! - We throughly enjoyed our day with Katia. She is an outstanding guide. We especially enjoyed the East tour for exploring the natural resources and breathtaking views. The lunch was also outstanding — super cool to try the unique stew.
We’re so glad we got to know this lovely island through this experience. The 9-seater van was also very comfortable with individual air vents at each seat, which makes a huge difference.
We did both the West and East tour and highly recommend booking both to get the most of the experience. The two journeys are so different, with this one focused on the natural resources, like the calderas, and the West on the gorgeous view points and towns. So, if you can only do one, it’s really just up to your personal preference on what you want to see most.

Fantastic day of laughter and beautiful views - Unbelievable! São Miguel is beautiful, obviously. But João have is the absolute best day possible! He was high-energy and full of interesting facts. He provided water and excellent DJ services. We made stops at five beautiful view points, PLUS lunch and a visit to Terra Nostra for the thermal pool! Pro tips: bring a swimsuit AND a towel, if you want to get in the water, and don't eat a big breakfast. There was no hiking involved, so tennis shoes are just fine. I truly didn't want our day to end. João took great photos of each of us with our phones, plus more that he shared in our Whatsapp group. 10/10!

Very good tour - I had an amazing time on this tour. Katya is an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and funny. If you’re on a short trip, Pure Azores Tour is a very good company to show you the must-see of the island. Also if you are vegetarian - they have good meal options instead of the meat stew.

Worth it! - I had an amazing time on this tour this week. It was run by guide, Joao! He made the tour so memorable for a few reasons: his knowledge of the island, his personality/kindness, and his photography skills.
Lastly, i loved the Don Beji thermal spa and lunch.
I highly recommend this tour. Abrigada, Joao!!! All the best to you.

The Best of the East - Sao Miguel - The East Tour was amazing from start to finish. Our tour guide, Catia, was an excellent resource as well as fun, kind, and professional.
We were able to capture beautiful photos of Sao Miguel, East. I highly recommend this tour.

Nice tour design with amazing guide - The day trip is amazing and full of fun. Our guide João is very knowledgeable and kind, offering us all the help we need and is very considerate. The design of trip is nice and we have sufficient time to explore each place. The lunch is also amazing and we have lots of variety to taste. I got lots of amazing memories during the day with João as our guide. Will highly recommended this tour.

Thoroughly enjoyable trip and excellent guide - We had a wonderful full day tour with Katia. Sao Miguel is a beautiful island and having done the Sete Cidades trip opted for this trip to see the other side of the island, Furnas, the waterfalls at Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande and sample the Cozido das Furnas, the traditional slow cooked stew done underground using volcanic heat. Katia is a brilliant guide, very knowledgeable and friendly, and included everyone in our small group in the chat. Can highly recommend Katia and the trip. The day was really enjoyable, and time just flew. The lunch was excellent too, making the trip good value for money. Ps to Katia thanks for recommending Bom Pesquiero it was excellent!

Wonderful tour - Magical nature presented by a very knowledgeable guide, Manuel. He took us to all the best viewing areas and explained everything well with passion and love for his island.
I did not wish to participate in the optional activity so Manuel entertained me with a private tour of the area while we waited for the others. Very much appreciated and very interesting.
