The journey is set through a lush forest enclosed by towering mountains, where once a local village community depended on illicit crop cultivation for their livelihood. This has since become a distant memory as the area is now enveloped in peace, with villagers striving towards progress. This led to the inception of the ‘River Route Tour’, aimed at providing alternate income sources for the village’s farmers and native inhabitants. Although scantily populated, the area boosts a plethora of biodiversity. Submerge in the pristine waters of the Buriticá River and take part in the numerous activities on offer. From basking in the area’s indigenous flora and fauna to experiencing the warmth of the local populace, the tour offers it all. Engage in cultural exchange with the natives, ride horses, go tubing, embark on hiking trails, and more.
