The Blue Heron Fleet was founded in 1955 by Capt. Harry Nagel. It is a legacy business, now run by the third generation of the family. Blue Heron provides great value for money with its spectacular year-round fishing opportunities.

The fleet boasts the area’s roomiest and most comfortable ships. These custom-crafted aluminum drift fishing vessels comply with and even surpass the safety regulations set by the U.S. Coast Guard. Passengers can enjoy the comfortable cushioned seats, catering-friendly settees, and clean restrooms for both genders on board.

Our two locations offer swift access to the best fishing hot spots, which are just 20-40 minutes away depending on the most promising fishing area that day.

The fee covers the rod, reel, bait, tackle, and a fishing license. Our experienced crew ensures both the safety and enjoyment of your family. We offer two half-day trips daily, and there is no need to reserve ahead of time. Blue Heron also provides private charters for family gatherings, business meetings, and corporate events, with both fishing and cruising options.

Always a great time! - We have fished with these guys a few times now for a company outing. 5 stars every time! Lots of fun and lots of fish! They go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time and catching fish. Do yourself a favor and book the Blue Heron for your next event or just a day of fishing, you'll be glad you did!

Great half day fish trip with family! - We went out of Jupiter but it was a fantastic experience. Went with my college age son and friend. We caught 11 fish total between us and really enjoyed ourselves. The deck hand John was fans worked very hard so you didn’t have to do anything. All the crew was friendly. Would recommend!

Great adventure - This was my first fishing trip with my 12 year old son. We didn’t catch anything unfortunately but the guys on the boat were so helpful and caring. You can’t predict the fishing but you can enjoy the wind and the water. We loved being on the boat and looking out into the water as it changed colors. They taught us what we needed and we would go on this adventure again and hopefully catch a fish.

A good trip, on a fishing boat. Miss Blue Heron. - It was a very good trip. The Staff were Helpful, and pleasant. The boat was on time in both directions. And I caught a fish.

Great but could be better - Easy parking, check in and boarding. Once you’re on the boat and seated the first thing you hear about is the “contest” for biggest fish $10 a person. Half goes to the winner, half goes to the crew and how they work for tips. Understandable, but it would’ve been nice to have been shown how the rods work first. It was a beautiful boat ride to the fishing spot. Quite a few fish were caught but the biggest issue was the 40 people fishing on one side of the boat. Constant line tangling and if you have a fish on, moving around other people and their stuff make it difficult to keep reeling. The crew was nice but irritated at times due to the tangled lines. They were quick to bait the hooks and pros when fish were reeled on to the boat. Overall, it was a nice trip. It would have been a higher rating if there were about half of the number of people on the boat and we had room to fish on both side.

Too many folks on one side - They had everyone on one side fishing on this small boat— (@ 40 people total) resulting in it being crowded and everyone’s lines kept getting tangled up. It takes from the fun and reduces fishing time significant.

Cancelled, no notice, no refund (yet) - Unfortunately, we booked (super easy) but were not notified that we were the only 2 to have signed up for an PM trip. We arrived & were told that we were the only 2 & they needed 12 minimum to go out. Blue Heron captain said we would get a refund. We haven't heard from Blue Heron yet after multiple attempts. NO REFUND YET!! Had we been able to go out I'm pretty sure that it would have been a very good experience, but we didn't.
