HOP ON SND OFF- Yeah! - Very easy to do and the audio was fine; just that it needs to be upgraded a bit, as it pops too much and loudly, to bother your hearing.

Great Tour - The Hop-On Hop-Off in Rome was fantastic. We were group of seven people and all of us enjoyed the tour.

Best way to see Rome - As Rome is so busy it is the best way to get around and work out where you want to spend your time. Takes you round most of the sites and you can buy a tickets for more than one day.

Disappointing - Memorable the complete fiasco with issuing the tickets which took 25 minutes. We could hardly understand the guide who spoke at speed. The mention of gladiators was minimal despite being the gladiator Tour

Not what I expected! - Our hop on hop off experience didn’t turn out exactly the way I expected. With the exception of the Colosseum and Vatican City, none of the sites we wanted to see were directly on the route. So we rode about halfway around the loop, got off, spent the rest of the day walking and took a cab back to our hotel.

Better to Walk or Try a Different Operator - This was not a great experience for my family. We purchased the 24 hour pass and thought we would make use of the ticket late on our Sunday arrival. The tour window was ending for the day (which we did not understand) and buses did not come around frequently enough. Crowds were too much and the tour information only came from a plug in headset. We did not return to the bus after our solo trip. Find a good walking tour podcast or audio download and you can see and learn more than this bus offers. But if you don’t want to walk, this is a decent method of transportation.

City Sightseeing Roma [Red Bus] - AS with other reviewers I should have read before we bought. Don't use them, find another e.g. green line. WE waited four times for 3/4-hour half or half an hour for the bus at stops. It stops running at 530 so we were left high and dry and walked back to hotel. We bought tickets at great cost through a rep of bus Company for Colosseum 2 hr. tour starting at 530. It took 20 mins to get over the road and through security. At 630 we were told tour over as the colosseum closes at 7 pm. WE were promptly ushered from behind by the security guards who slowly followed us out. No mention of time frame when we booked. Basically 40 mins of tour guide for supposedly 2-hour tour. Should have done our homework. Also, DONT go to Colosseum the end of the day. We used the as we thought they are in every capital city so must be ok!! They are Not.

Worst $62 I spent in rome - Workers are so unhelpful, I asked for a map so we could find a bus stop, and got told "no, you can get one on the bus"...what?? The app is useless too, it's just a flat map, it doesn't tell you where you are relative to the stop. And definitely less frequent than every 15 minutes, ridiculous. Wish I had checked reviews before purchasing.

Not great - Terrible bus service, we foolishly booked 72 hours thinking we use it for getting to all the tourist attractions but the traffic is too busy in the city center better off walking using google maps, mostly stuck in traffic, moves slowly the buses took forever to arrive much longer than every 15 mins. The other hop on/off buses the green, pink and maroon colour arrived more frequent at same stops. Also it only red bus only stops in certain locations it was annoying watching bus pass our hotel every time even though there there was a signs for city tours by your ticket here, the nearest stop for us was about 30 to 40 min walk to far away, really pointless, but in fairness we found the staff very nice! and were great when it came to people trying to jump the queue they stopped them and made people get back to end of line.

Terrible. Avoid,Avoid,Avoid! - Terrible. 56 euros and many hours of our life we won't get back. Terrible service. Infrequent buses. Not every 15 minutes. More every 30 to 45 and really busy , so no guarantee you will get on it. The automated commentary is a joke. It's like a two Ronnie's sketch where you get the commentary for a last place. I was totally confused, and we ended up using Google instead. The bus also stops for ages at every stop. Just use the FreeNow taxi app for longer journeys and walk the rest. The main attractions are close enough together, and you'll get to experience Rome the way it's meant to be. Rude staff as well. When I tried to politely complain, the lady just walked away and tried to sell the terrible service to other couples. Avoid, avoid, avoid!
