Surprised how great a museum this was! - Completely enjoyed this limited tour- one able to view first floor the guide was very well informed and I am not an 'art' fan but I was entranced by her overview of the items we were viewing - I would certainly do this again next time I am in the area as the second floor was currently unavailable to viewing

Caravaggios in the middle of Rome - When you are in the midst of hot and crowded Rome, find the galleries, palazzos and churches that are cool and modestly popular… and filled with gorgeous art like the Caravaggios here at the Doria Pamphilj.

A hidden gem in the middle of Rome - The art collection is exquisite. At the same time, the gallery was not crowded. So I had quite an intimate time with many of the world art masterpieces.

Easy entrance - Easy access to tickets. Many paintings were very dark. The background ceilings mirrors, chandeliers, were beautiful. Great collection.

The final room was... - The final room was gorgeous. Also there is a lovely place to have drinks in a garden at the exit. All our skip-the-line reservations with Viator in Rome were great.

Great art collection - We are on a Caravaggio crawl. There are 3 fine paintings here. Also, major works by Velasquez , Raphael and others. Some paintings could benefit from shades The sunlight created glare.
