Highlights
  • Piazza dei Miracoli - A square featuring lush green areas, the iconic Leaning Tower, and the grand marble-banded cathedral of Pisa. Enjoy some free time here to snap amusing photos.
  • Duomo di Pisa - Located in the heart of Piazza dei Miracoli, the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a medieval Catholic church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin and serves as the episcopal seat of Pisa.
  • Leaning Tower of Pisa - Did you know it initially leaned in one direction before tilting the other way? From here, we’ll return to the bus and head to Florence.
  • Piazza Santa Croce - Our first stop in Florence is Piazza Santa Croce, home to the Basilica di Santa Croce, one of Italy’s most significant Franciscan churches. Known for its unique Gothic architecture, it is the final resting place of notable figures like Michelangelo, Galileo Galilei, Niccolò Machiavelli, and Dante Alighieri.
  • Piazza del Duomo - Explore the magnificent Piazza del Duomo, the main square in Florence’s heart. Famous for its breathtaking architecture, it is surrounded by landmarks such as the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore and Giotto’s Campanile. You’ll have free time to wander and discover the city on your own.
  • Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore - Also known as Il Duomo, this iconic cathedral is celebrated for its distinctive dome designed by Filippo Brunelleschi, an architectural marvel of the Renaissance. It is renowned for its red-tiled dome, marble façade, and Giotto’s bell tower.
  • Basilica of Santa Maria Novella - This stunning 15th-century Dominican church features frescoes by Gothic and early Renaissance masters.
  • Ponte Vecchio - Stroll across the Vecchio Bridge and learn about the history of the shops that line both sides. Traditionally used by merchants, especially jewelers and goldsmiths, these shops are suspended over the river and supported by columns.
  • Piazza della Signoria - The central square of Florence, Piazza della Signoria, is the seat of civil power with the “Old Palace” and serves as the heart of the city’s social life.

Additional Information

• Traverse the Ponte Vecchio, the singular bridge in Florence spared from destruction during World War II, and understand its significance.
• Marvel at the Cathedral of Santa Maria di Fiori’s octagonal dome, constructed with 4 million bricks, and uncover how Brunelleschi accomplished this seemingly unachievable task for its era.
• Stroll around Piazza della Signoria where Roman-era thermal facilities were situated and where an exact replica marks the initial location of Michelangelo’s David.
• Uncover intriguing details about the Tower of Pisa. Did you realize it initially tilted one way before gradually leaning the opposite way?

  • Infant seats must be requested in advance and are subject to availability
  • This tour has a very tight itinerary and the distances in the cities are great. From Rome to Pisa there is a 4h ride and the same back from Florence. We do not recommend it for people with mobility problems. The pace of the visit is demanding.
  • Please note, this tour travels between the cities by bus, and you will be on this bus for several hours. Specifically the journey from Rome to Pisa lasts approximately 4 hours, and the same for the return to Rome from Florence
  • You will enjoy Pisa and Florence at your own pace, but you can always count on your tour leader for any doubt or requirement.
  • If you have chosen the audioguide option in Florence we will send you the instructions to download it when your booking is confirmed. Please note an Android (version 5.0 and later) or iOS smartphone is required. The audio tour is not compatible with Windows Phones, iPhone 5/5C or older, iPod Touch 5th generation or older, iPad 4th generation or older, iPad Mini 1st generation
  • To download the audio guide on the bus, you will need an internet conection.

Well worth it. - What a fantastic day trip for the entire family. Our guide, Aron, and our driver, Mirko, were very professional. Aron was a great guide who really knew the two cities well. He made great recommendations for our free time and made himself completely available to help meet our every need. Florence is a beautiful city that really requires several days to see, but this was a great taste of what the city has to offer. I highly recommend this trip.

Good trip but not a lot of “guided tours” - I enjoyed the sights while on the bus, and seeing the towns. I wish there had been a little more explanation of the history of the locations, and more time in Pisa. I didn’t use the audio tour for Florence because time was too limited and we wanted to eat, shop, and see some specific places. However overall it was a good trip.

Good trip but could be better - Although the trip was good and I really enjoyed it but I have several critical points that must be taken in consideration On Saturday I got notifications that our trip is Tomorrow and many passengers went to the stations including me and my friend but we surprised that no trip on Sunday. Later we realised that it is an automated reply Second point the driver is driving very fast in particular when he is moving to the right or left Many thanks to Aaron he is amazing tour guide and very welcoming person. I give him 5 star

Tour guide did a crappie job - I’m giving this a 3 star because the tour guide wasn’t the best. She didn’t seem very knowledgeable. Even though it was a very hot day I enjoyed going to Pisa and Florence.

Not Guided - Average Tour . Pisa and Florence - Beautiful. Don’t be late - Tour started at 7 am. You drive up to Pisa for 3.5 hours . You get on average 50- 1 hour in Pisa to take picture . Which is enough to take pictures and get a quick bite. Washrooms in main square only take credit cards . You will not have enough time to climb Pisa . Strongly advise don’t climb , you will miss the buss. They don’t wait if you are late and could be left stranded . As they say - Respect / Punctuality is important. 3 people in our group were left behind and they took a train from Pisa to Florence at their own cost . From Pisa you drive to Florence which takes 1.5 hrs . In Florence you are given a map and 2.5 hours to explore . I personally chose to do a golf cart private tour (costed 75 euro / paid via credit card). For 1.5 hours ride around with tour guide. Florence is beautiful and can be explored quickly by golf cart . You should have lunch here and don’t miss the buss Things to improve . Make this tour with Train (it will become much more pressurable ) If you enjoy spending time at a particular place , then take the train
