  • Bocca della Verita - The Mouth of Truth and the medieval legend.
The Mouth of Truth is first used for this purpose by husbands jealous of their wives, and from here a set of legends flourishes. The international fame of the monument is also due to a famous scene from the film Roman Holiday (1953) with Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck.
  • Teatro di Marcello - It is the oldest surviving stone theater in Rome. It replaced the old wooden structures at the edge of the Faminio circus which were used for performances. It was dedicated to Augustus’ nephew, Marcellus, who was his heir but died prematurely.
  • Insula dell’Ara Coeli - The Insula dell’Ara Coeli is a Roman-era building located on the slopes of the Capitoline Hill, in Rome, in a corner between the staircase leading to the basilica of Santa Maria in Aracoeli (hence the name) and the Vittoriano.
  • Piazza Venezia / Ancient City - Venice plaza. The History, the Palaces, the Vittoriano, the Museums. Piazza Venezia, the tourist heart of Rome, is famous for the historic buildings that surround it: Palazzo Venezia, Palazzo delle Assicurazioni Generali and the Vittoriano. • Piazza Navona - In the center of Piazza Navona there are 3 fountains: the Fontana del Moro, the Fontana de’ Calderari, also known as the Fountain of Neptune, both works by Giacomo della Porta and, in the centre, the imposing Fountain of the Four Rivers, the work of Gian Lorenzo Bernini. • Column of Marcus Aurelius - The column is 100 Roman feet high - about thirty meters and the wars of Marcus Aurelius against the Germans (172-173 AD) and the Sarmatians (174-175 AD) are narrated in bas-reliefs. It was built around 180 AD. The column is located in front of Palazzo Chigi, seat of the Italian Government since 1961.
  • Trevi Fountain - The Trevi Fountain was built in 19 BC. when the consul Marco Vipsanio Agrippa brought the Acqua Vergine to the city, named in honor of the girl who showed the soldiers the source. The fountain represented the final point of the aqueduct, but it was not as majestic as we see it today. The construction of the fountain began in 1732, and Clement XII inaugurated it in 1735.
  • Piazza di Spagna - With the Trinità dei Monti staircase, it is one of the most famous squares in Rome. It takes its name from the historic presence of the Spanish embassy at the Holy See. It is located in a luxury shopping district, with Via Condotti, via Frattina, or via del Babuino.
  • Piazza del Popolo - Piazza del Popolo is the intersection of three main streets of the historic center of the Italian capital, via del Babuino, via di Ripetta and via del Corso.
