- In July and August due to the heat the duration of the visit is 2 hours and a half

The remaining amount is voluntary and includes services provided by skilled licensed guides, headsets, booking fees, and other tour amenities. Great Experience! - Giuseppe really made this tour fun. His knowledge and stories really made this tour one of the high points of our entire vacation. Nero's Palace at The forum has also recently been reopened as well so don't miss this tour!

Great experience with a great guide! - The meeting point was clear and easy to find. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave an excellent tour of the forum and colosseum! The guide then left us with our own time to further explore the colosseum once he was done. Great experience and would highly recommend!

Totally worth every dollar!!!! - From start to finish this was a well organized tour. Told to be at the meeting place 30 mins prior to start time- meet with guide who was super informative got us thru the crowds invariably found a spot in the shade to explain things. He pointed out the best spots to take photos and informed us the least crowded drink fountains and similar for bathroom stop. The 3 hours flew by. Thank you for this experience.

Informative and direct - Our guide made sure to get us to each destination and allow us the time to take our pictures. The Colosseum was one of the main things I was looking forward to this trip and I’m glad we got a guide that gave us so much information about it.

Never again! - Unfortunately, this tour was a complete waste of money. This was due to the fact that our guide, while well meaning, added little to what we could have gotten from an audio tour or using a guidebook. Additionally, the Vatican was so crowded, this from someone who grew up in NYC, that it made touring the site unbearable. At places we literally were shuffling along due to our inability to move. I would have gotten a better experience by viewing the collection in a book.

Terrible - We had the worst experience ever. Viator and the tour operator screwed up the reservation and we weren’t allowed to take the tour. Worse yet, Viator hasn’t yet approved a refund for the tour that they screwed up.

Horrible experience. Misleading advertising - Horrible experience. First, this is not a tour at all; it's a general admission ticket, a phone-requires app with chaotic organization. The price of a general admission ticket was 18 Euros per person, and the “fake tour” cost was almost 45 per person. We thought it was actually a guided tour because it said professionally guided. It did further down state audio tour, but no audio devices were provided. We also bought 2 tickets and only one download audio guide was provided. My husband and I had to listen to the tour on my phone speaker. No headphones were provided. They did not say a phone was required to do an audio tour—horrible app, horrible experience, horribly misleading, borderline theft.

Be thirty minutes early or they'll leave without you - Be there 30 minutes early. If your tour is scheduled for 9am, it's actually scheduled for thirty minutes prior. My scheduled tour was for 9am and I arrived 8:55am, but the tour operators told me my group had already left. They gave me my ticket at least to let me go inside on my own, but the ticket was for 8:45am instead of 9am.

Beware this is not a guided tour - Terrible experience. The location where this tour starts is 20 min long walk from colosseum. The tour clearly mentioned that it would be guided by a professional but they merely gave us a QR code to download an app that acts as a digital guide and there was no professional guide with us. Just for getting the entry tickets and downloading the app, you need to walk extra 20 mins to their location and then go to the actual entrance of colosseum which is another 20 mins. This tour is a rip off and one should rather book tickets online from the official colosseum website and save money. Never trust such third parties
