Highlights
  • Colosseum - The Colosseum at night in Rome transforms into a breathtaking spectacle, casting a magical aura over the ancient amphitheater. Illuminated by strategically placed lighting, the monument’s arches and remaining structures glow against the dark sky, highlighting its grandeur and architectural detail. This iconic symbol of Rome’s imperial past, once the site of gladiatorial contests and public spectacles, gains a serene yet imposing presence after sunset. Nighttime visits, often available through special tours, offer a unique and intimate experience of the Colosseum, allowing visitors to explore its history and marvel at its construction away from the daytime crowds. The Colosseum at night stands as a timeless reminder of Rome’s rich history, captivating the imaginations of all who behold it under the stars. NOTE: Colesseo is our meet point, so, we will meet in front of the colosseum and have a photo session, and then we go to our next historical route. - Circus Maximus - The Circus Maximus is an ancient Roman chariot racing stadium and mass entertainment venue located in the valley between the Palatine and Aventine Hills in Rome. It was the largest stadium in ancient Rome, capable of accommodating over 150,000 spectators. The Circus Maximus hosted various events, including chariot races, religious ceremonies, and public spectacles. Today, it is an archaeological site where visitors can explore the remains of the ancient structure and learn about its significance in Roman history and culture. - Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta - The Knights of Malta Gate in Rome, also known as the Keyhole of Rome, offers a unique glimpse through the Sovereign Military Order of Malta’s property, framing a perfectly aligned view of St. Peter’s Basilica in the distance. Located on Aventine Hill, this gate is part of the Villa del Priorato di Malta, which houses the embassy of the Order to the Holy See. The Order, a Catholic lay religious order and sovereign entity, has its origins in the 11th century, providing care for pilgrims in Jerusalem. The keyhole view through the gate has become a famous spot for tourists and photographers, offering a unique perspective that encapsulates the grandeur of Rome and the spiritual significance of the Order’s historical presence in the city. - Bocca della Verita - The name of our fun, historical and exciting stop is la Bocca della Veritá. I would like to give a brief summary about this place. Situated in the portico of Santa Maria in Cosmedin Church, the Mouth of Truth (Bocca della Veritá) is a worldwide-famous enormous marble mask said to bite the hand of those who lied. - Piazza Venezia / Ancient City - we will discover the historical square of the Rome. The Piazza Venezia is famous for its iconic monument, beautiful buildings, and antique basilica. The Piazza Venezia is still in use today. Currently, it’s home to the National Museum of Palazzo Venezia and the National Institute of Archaeology and History of Art. It is the famous shopping street of Rome, where you will also see Via del Corso street on the opposite side of Venezia Square. - Pantheon - At night, the Pantheon in Rome transforms into a captivating spectacle, its ancient façade and grand entrance bathed in the warm glow of strategically placed lighting that highlights its majestic columns and pediment. The surrounding square, Piazza della Rotonda, takes on a lively atmosphere as locals and tourists alike gather to admire the illuminated monument. The play of light and shadow across the Pantheon’s exterior and the serene, almost mystical aura of the interior, visible through the open doorway, offer a completely different experience compared to the daytime. The nighttime illumination accentuates the architectural details and the monumental scale of this ancient temple-turned-church, making a visit after dusk a memorable experience that connects visitors to the enduring legacy of Rome’s imperial past. - Piazza Navona - Piazza Navona at night transforms into a magical spectacle in the heart of Rome. This iconic public square, known for its stunning Baroque architecture and three magnificent fountains, including Bernini’s famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, is bathed in ambient lighting that highlights its artistic and architectural details. The lively atmosphere is enhanced by street artists, musicians, and vendors, creating a vibrant social scene. Cafés and restaurants surrounding the square fill with locals and tourists alike, enjoying al fresco dining against the backdrop of illuminated historic buildings. The combination of art, history, and lively nighttime culture makes Piazza Navona a must-visit destination, offering a quintessentially Roman experience under the stars. - Trastevere - Trastevere is a vibrant neighborhood in Rome known for its charming cobblestone streets, medieval architecture, and lively atmosphere. Located on the west bank of the Tiber River, Trastevere is famous for its narrow alleyways, colorful buildings, and bustling piazzas. It’s a popular destination for both tourists and locals, offering a wide array of restaurants, cafes, bars, and shops. Trastevere is also home to several historic churches, such as the Basilica of Santa Maria in Trastevere, which dates back to the 4th century. In the evening, the neighborhood comes alive with street performers, musicians, and a lively nightlife scene, making it a must-visit area for anyone exploring Rome. - Fontana dell’Acqua Paola - The Fontana dell’Acqua Paola, also known as the Fontanone, is a monumental fountain located on the Janiculum Hill in Rome, Italy. Commissioned by Pope Paul V in the early 17th century, the fountain is renowned for its grandeur and stunning views over the city. The design of the fountain is reminiscent of ancient Roman architecture, featuring a central arch with cascading water and two smaller arches on either side. The Fontanone is a popular spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy panoramic views of Rome and to relax in its picturesque surroundings. - Terrazza del Gianicolo - The Janiculum Hill, known in Italian as “Gianicolo,” is a picturesque hill located in the western part of Rome, Italy. While not one of the famous Seven Hills of Rome, it offers stunning panoramic views of the city and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The Janiculum is known for its peaceful atmosphere, tree-lined pathways, and charming gardens. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, picnic spots, and historical landmarks such as the Fontana dell’Acqua Paola and the Janiculum Terrace. The hill is also home to several monuments, including statues of Garibaldi and Anita, commemorating their role in the Italian unification movement. The Janiculum Hill is an ideal spot to escape the hustle and bustle of the city while enjoying breathtaking views of Rome’s skyline. You will not get enough of the view from the Gianicolo terrace, the highest hill in Roma.

Awesome night time Rome experience - Rome at night was even more magical! These guys were very informative and we visited some places we had not during the day. They made my young son feel safe. They were all super friendly and even dropped us off to our hotel which was well away from the original drop off point. They gave us great tips for the rest of our stay. The pictures were great . The pics posted are my own as I don’t want to share any with my personal pictures on them. The photographer was patient with my son and took some great portraits of us Favorite part watching Rome from hilltop and it was magical.

The Best Tour You’ll Ever Do - What a brilliant way to spend an evening, so glad I did this. I was let down by another company on the day so booked this tour last minute. Unlike other tours they kindly picked up and dropped off at my own hotel. They kept me informed via text of pick up time. The guys were all so nice and although only told half way through the evening that it was my birthday they made my 60th really special by buying me a rose and singing to me at the highest viewpoint in Rome with a candle on a pastry they’d managed to get!! Whizzing round Rome on a Vespa was a highlight of my Rome holiday. Oh and although I didn’t book the experience for their photos I’ve ended up with some great pictures to remind me of my birthday. Well done guys and thank you.
