Fabulous day of kayaking and learning! - This was my first outing in a kayak and I can't emphasize how enjoyable this entire experience was to participate in. The tour operators are top rate professionals who oversee the navigation after a short orientation session on how to manoeuvre the boats and to paddle efficiently and effectively. The tour operates heading downstream which makes moving along through the wilderness really quite effortless. Along the way there are some obstacles such as S-bends and felled trees to get around which offers some good skils development for learner kayakers. As an excellent bonus Leanne narrates the tour with extremely informative description of local flora and fauna from a conservationalist's perspective, providing some truly surprising knowledge and facts en route. There is a midway rest break and a chance to munch a snack and take beverages. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS EXPEDITION to anyone interested in going where no other vehicle could possibly take you and to see absolutely beautiful scenerly and creatures as you drift and paddle down the Big Creek toward Port Rowan for a fantastic 4 hours of fun and learning. Well worth it! At the end of the tour you are driven back to the starting point, so it's an easy one logistically too! Overall, a top notch day outing! Thank you!

Most amazing kayaking tour EVER! - If you’re looking to have an amazing time and learn more than you could ever expect about the local biosphere, you have to join the Big Creek River Kayak tour with Leanne Lemaich. This tour has everything you could ask for: amazing kayaking experience, gorgeous surroundings, and a guide who is perfect for the job (among other conservation efforts, Leanne also raises cecropia/giant silk moths to help keep the biosphere healthy)! Leanne’s enthusiasm, experience, and dedication to conservation efforts is contagious. You’ll leave the tour feeling refreshed and appreciative of what nature gives us. Along with her assistant Ashley, Leanne and her team provide an amazing, unforgettable experience!! Sergio (Big Creek Tour August 16 2023)

the 4hr kayak tour of big creek - the creek was incredibly beautiful and somewhat off the beaten track! we really would not have known there was a creek there! The guided tour was excellent. Lots of excellent natualist information and excellent kayaking support to make sure that no one got left behind nor ran into difficulty. The professionalism and friendliness of the staff and guides was exceptional. I would highly recommend this as wonderful experience off the beaten track! They were very upfront with the recommended things to bring

Not only was the kayaking an enjoyable activity, but our Guide’s (Leanne) insight and knowledge made it educational. It was a very informative tour! We also appreciate the time she took to send us pictures of our excursion and the helpful resources/links to information that was provided during the tour. Highly recommended!

Highlight of the summer! - Highlight of the summer! Went with a group of friends as part of our camping adventures at Long Point Provincial Park. From start to finish, the experience was excellent. Equipment was in great condition and the tour was well organized. Josh and the team did a wonderful job teaching us about the flora and fauna of the region as we paddled our way along Big Creek. We saw some animals and other creatures which was a real bonus! The kayaking was not difficult but challenging enough as we had to navigate our way around trees, rocks etc. Lots of fun, even for the novice kayakers in our group. The whole journey took about 5 hours to complete including the picnic lunch. Be sure to bring lots of drinking water, sunscreen, and a hat as there is not a lot of shade along the route. You could probably paddle it on your own but not having to worry about dragging your own gear to the drop in site and also having a knowledgeable guide with you makes the experience so much richer! A great day out and definitely worth the money!

Wonderful way to spend a summer day - Our family (with two teen boys) did this kayak as part of a package with Long Point Eco-Adventures where we were glamping. It was lovely day of gentle paddling down Big Creek. There are a few tricky maneuvers, but overall a beginner paddler could take it on. Our guides Josh and Karl were great. They were patient, friendly and encouraging. Josh was very knowledgeable about the area, the plants and wildlife we saw along the way and was eager to share. We give it four thumbs up!

Ageism at it's finest! - Age 65 age limit!? My wife and I have been kayaking, bicycling and hiking for years but I guess we're too old and decrepit for you. Thanks for the information. We'll save the $240 and do the trip on our own.
