Embark on a one-day gorilla trek in Rwanda, within the confines of Volcanoes National Park. This protected area is a refuge for the endangered mountain gorillas, whose survival was fiercely defended by the late Dian Fossey. Fossey, a renowned primatologist, lost her life in her remote Rwandan cabin in December 1985, presumably due to her conservation efforts, with suspicions pointing to a poacher.
Begin your day with an early breakfast, followed by meeting with our guide at 4 am. You’ll set off for Musanze, reaching the volcanoes headquarters by 7 am. Here, you will receive a briefing about the gorillas and volcanoes. You’ll then enter the forest, tracking the GORILLAS, with opportunities for photo and video capture once you encounter them. You’ll spend approximately 1 hour with the gorillas until noon, then it’s time for a break and lunch. Post-lunch involves a visit to the gorilla guardian village for a cultural experience, leading up to a return trip to Kigali and your hotel.
For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
