After a brief introduction, you will be taken 2km down to Cat Cat’s road, a well-known village of the Hmong minority. From there, you will be reaching the hanging bridge of the Muong Hoa river and then continue uphill into the mountains and through a bamboo forest.

You will then head down to Y Linh Ho village and have lunch at a small, traditional restaurant ran by a local Hmong family.

Lao Chai - From there, you will get the chance to admire some of the biggest and most beautiful rice terraces in Vietnam as well as enjoy the majestic mountain view on top of the Hoang Lien mountain.

Ta Van Village - After the break, you will make it to Ta Van, a village of the famous Giay minority, where your local host family will welcome you. You will then have some time to rest, take a hot shower, and get ready for your dinner – if you want, you will also have the chance to take part in an informal cooking class!

Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa (12km around 5 hours)

Giang Ta Chai Village - Enjoy a cup of hot coffee or tea and discover your homestay’s surrounding area and the nearby rice fields. After breakfast, you will be retaken uphill into the mountain till the waterfalls of Giang Ta Chai. You will then enter the Red Dao area where, together with your local guide, you will learn more in detail about their culture and daily life. After a short visit at a Red Dao family, you will then head back to the waterfalls by taking an alternative trail and across a second hanging bridge. Fun trip with helpful guide - During our tour we were guided by Me. She was extremely helpful and taught us a lot about the plants we passed along the way. She speaks English very well which made it a very pleasant trip. Make sure to wear appropriate shoes because the path is muddy and not ‘white Nikes’-proof.

Trekking tour Sapa with tour guide My. - From the moment our tour guide My picked us up, we already felt comfortable. She is an amazing guide and took the time to share a lot of information with us regarding the natural surroundings, the villages and the communities . A few ladies of the local community joined our walk as well, which I first didn’t understand , but eventually realized they are very helpful with some challenging routes . The home stay in Ta Van is a small gem with amazing views . And the family welcomed us with open arms. Home cooked dinner from farm to table was delicious . Unfortunately the 2nd day our son woke up with flu, for which we couldn’t finish the trek. My assisted us back to the hotel. We can highly recommend and support this tour organization.
