Highlights

Sa Pa – Hang Da – Hau Thao (15km around 5.5 hours)

Hang Da Village - In the morning at 9 am. Trekkingtoursapa’s guide will meet you at your hotel in Sapa or in front of Sapa’s main church. After a brief introduction, we will trek 1km uphill on a small trail to the mountain views where you will see Fansipan mountain, standing at 3,143 meters, the highest in Indochina, and get a panoramic view of Sapa town. From this vantage point, you will witness the renowned and expansive rice terrace fields in Vietnam (in Muong Hoa valley) as well as the main river and valley in Sapa. After soaking in the stunning landscape, we will continue our journey along the mountainside down to Hang Da, a village of the Black Hmong minority. The tour offers a chance to see animals such as buffalo, cows, and pigs. We will then have lunch at a small restaurant run by a local family.

Hau Thao - After lunch, we will proceed on a small road down to Hau Thao, a village of the Black Hmong ethnic minority. Here, you will observe the locals’ daily life, and if the timing is right, you will see them working in the fields, either harvesting or planting rice. We will be warmly welcomed by a Black Hmong family at their homestay in Hau Thao village.

Hau Thao – Giang Ta Chai – Ta Van – Lao Chai– Y Linh Ho – Sapa (16km around 6 hours)

Giang Ta Chai Village - After a pleasant breakfast at the homestay, we will begin the trek for the next day. From Hau Thao village, we will walk down to Giang Ta Chai village, where you will see a waterfall and encounter the Red Dao minority. We will then continue trekking uphill to the Hoa Lien Son mountain range, which stands at 1,850 meters above sea level. From here, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Muong Hoa valley.

Lovely guide and wonderful landscape - I really enjoyed being guided by So during these two days. He knows perfectly the paths to take to have the best view and to be alone, far from tourists. The scenery was breathtaking and the hospitality of the family host was so great. I recommend this tour and my guide So!!

Unforgettable experience - Mê' was our guide. It has been a wonderful experience doing the tour with her, she has taught us a lot about her culture, rice fields, nature in Sapa, the villages, different tribes. It has been a success to do the tour with her because otherwise I would not have seen so many places for myself or known so many details. On the other hand, his attitude is very nice and kind with a very good level of English. Thank you for such a nice experience.

Beautiful local hiking tour - 2D1N tour is an incredible experience Our local guide Mê' explained to us many things about their culture during the trekking: how they cultivate and do their clothes, differences between tribes, plants and fruits with the uses they have... We slept in a homestay of local tribe people, the food and room were incredible and we got to have dinner together and talk more about their culture. We were able to do a mixed trekking where we walked through the mountains, visiting different villages, and rice terraces (amazing) I highly recommend the experience of being able to enjoy the nature of Sapa, learn about the local culture of the tribes and spend time with local people

Amazing personalised tour with insightful guide - We went on a 2 day 1 night trek with Tung from Trekking Tour Sapa and it was an amazing experience! She customised the route to suit us, taking us up mountains and through rice fields, bamboo forests and local villages. She gave us great insights into Sa Pa and the surrounding villages and made it an unforgettable experience. We also stayed in a lovely homestay with delicious dinner and breakfast. We would highly recommend this trek!

Really friendly expert guide, great routes, nice homestay and food. - Tung was our guide. We had an amazing two days trekking through the beautiful and varied countryside of Sapa. Tung was very friendly and helpful and told us all about her tribe and the way of life of her people. She took us up a brilliant route through the mountains, away from the crowds and towns. Her local knowledge was essential in bringing us on fun and challenging routes (even through rice paddies and streams) that we wouldn't have found by ourselves. The homestay was very nice and clean, and the food (lunch, dinner, breakfast and lunch the following day) was very good and there was plenty of it.
