Totally worth it ! - The tour was awesome. May, our guide, lives at the Sapa villages so as a local knew all the stories, traditions and legends. We visited 3 villages and ate at a restaurant (not at a family’a house). We observed the local life. When you visit these villages, remember to bring some things for the kids & families (toothbrushes, toothpaste, food, soap etc, things that we all have but these families are very poor and don’t.

Great Sapa tour - We got the classic tour with the overnight train, we got picked up in the morning by the driver to the hotel for breakfast and started our day to visit the villages in the plan. Everything was very well-organized and the hike/trek was great fun. We passed by 3 villages and enjoyed the moment chatting with the kids in the village and buying some local products to help them. The next day was to the Cat Cat village and it was great too. We had a nice limousine to go back to Hanoi in the afternoon and the vehicle was really comfortable

Wonderful scenery and a pleasant tour guide. - The day was great; It was an amazing experience hiking with Ho. We headed down the fields and walked through areas of terraced fields whilst enjoying the stunning views. Our lunch in town was also good. We really enjoyed this full day and would not hesitate to recommend it highly.

On the road with hundreds of tourists - Nothing special Sapa is a crowded tourist destination and this tour is designed to suit that! Hundreds of tourists are also shuttled through the surrounding area in countless other groups!

All in all a good experience - All in all we had a good experience. The hiking down to the villages was quite adventurous and from time to time I would consider it a bit dangerous, due to the weather conditions (it was raining and foggy this day). But we had the help of many kind and lovely women that helped us all the way down. On the downside they asked us to buy things from them at the end of our hiking and we had the feeling that their prices were actually overpriced (for a scarf they wanted 400k VND). So we left with mixed feelings. Unfortunately we didn’t learn that much about the culture and everything. You had to ask for every information what was quite hard due to the fact we were focused on getting down the mountain safe.
