Bolafjall Mountain stands at approximately 636 meters, with its most renowned feature being the viewing platform at its summit. From this vantage point, visitors can enjoy stunning vistas of Ísafjarðadjúp, Jökulfirðir, and, according to some, even Greenland. The sunsets here are particularly spectacular. Access is via a road from Bolungarvík, leading to the radar station at the peak. Originally constructed by the Americans, the station is now managed by the Icelandic coast guard. This road is accessible during the summer, from mid-June to mid-September. We provide a special highlands bus for this tour, as the road is steep and gravelly.
