Additional Information

Travel through mountain tunnels and stunning fjords on this half-day shore excursion tour to Dynjandi waterfall.

Starting from the port at Ísafjörður, this tour´s main highlight in Dynjandi waterfall, one of Iceland´s most famous waterfalls. It´s truly a must when visiting the west fjords. It is often said to resemble a bridal veil, tapering to its widest at 60 meters at the bottom.

Continuing the wedding theme, sample Hjónabandssæla cake, a traditional cake during your stop at Gemlufell, a tradional working farm. This oat and rhubarb jam creation translate as wedded bliss in English.

Fantastic!! - Absolutely fantastic tour! Our tour guide, Rachel, did a wonderful job telling us about life in the western fjords and pointing out all the points of interest. She was personable and informative. Value from money was unbeatable. Would highly recommend this company and tour.

Knowledgeable and responsible guide and driver. - Lovely trip. Guide and driver were kind and courteous. Guide was knowledgeable, funny, and obviously loved her job. I was very happy they were aware of need to return to ship in timely manner.

Best excursion of my trip. - We had a great tour guide. I like that the excusion alternated seating and exploring time. We'd sit for a bit, then explore for a bit, then sit for a bit. It was not physically taxing (unless you decided to climb the layers of the waterfall). There was plenty of time to take pictures or to sit and take in the views.

Excellent - Tour itinerary was exactly as described. Daniel was a very good guide, leading the tour up to the waterfall but anyone can stop anytime. The weather in early June was slightly cold but clear sky, the climb was slippery with loose rocks, better with walking sticks. The farm stop is just OK on the way back.

Excellent first Viator excursion!!! - The waterfalls, seal sightings along the drive, and farm were wonderful experiences. Our guide, Rachelle, made them so much more enjoyable. She was so knowledgeable about Isafjordur and such a pleasure to tour with. This is a beautiful area and shouldn’t be missed. And, to top it off, this excursions was so much less than what the cruise line charged for basically the same thing. I would do this one again!

Incredible value, varied and interesting Excursion! - This was an incredible value, strongly recommend this for cruise ship passengers! We had a wonderful guide and driver, and the falls were breathtaking! Our bus was the first to the falls so were able to hike up the hill and take pictures in a more relaxed atmosphere. Saw an arctic fox along the way, along with several seals. Learned interesting things about the areas we traversed, Iceland's history, and wildlife and flora. The stop at a working farm was really enjoyable, the wedding cake was amazing!

Beautiful Experience - Great tour. The waterfall is beautiful and not to bad of a walk. Well worth walking to the top. The tour guides were very fun and filled the bus ride through the fjords with lots of information!

Beautiful scenery all around. - We enjoyed the beautiful scenery en route to the waterfall, expertly interpreted by our Aussie tour guide. The falls are indeed beautiful, although once the path petered out, you would need proper hiking boots and a pole, to go any further. We stayed on the path, but others from the bus ventured further. Weather was dry and sunny.

Point anywhere for a great photo - We got some great photos of the falls and the horses, knowledgeable guide Audi and driver were friendly and informative. Pickup was a bit vague and needed clarification.
