Wonderful Experience - A great day out visiting a white sandy beach where we enjoyed a wholesome meal followed by an hour’s swimming and sunbathing. Also included was a visit to a pineapple plantation. Our guide (Tenisha) and driver (Andrew) kept us very well informed of the history of Antigua and were jolly and amusing.

Enjoyed this excursion but disappointed in pineapple plantation. - We enjoyed going to the home of island residents and seeing the interesting artifacts and lush flowers and foliage. Great scenery and beautiful beaches. We had a great lunch. Was disappointed in the pineapple plantation as there was not much to see and the only pineapple plant was in pretty bad shape. Fresh pineapple that we tasted was delicious.

The tour was good but the... - The tour was good but the start of it was bad. Wasn't giving proper instructions who we were meeting or where and nobody was able to help. I had to spend money to use my phone which I wasn't happy about to call and get proper directions.

Great Beach - Just stay in the tour van at the Pineapple Farm - Alexis was a good tour guide. The beach was beautiful. The pineapple farm - not so much. There were spider holes all over the ground. One person on our tour stepped into red ants. They really should take the pineapple stop off the tour and give more time at the beach.

AC Van Tour of Antigua:HIstory, Private Home Tour, Pineapple Farm & Lunch on the Beach - Booked this tour through Vacations to Go. Met the Heavenly Tours representative, after going through security and stopping at the Security Booth. They directed us across the street and behind a building. Not easy to find. He should have been hold a sign that could be seen as we walked down the street. The tour got off to a slow start. The AC van was 20 minutes late, due to the crowded streets near the cruise ship port. Tour guide Jacque helped by Tashina gave us a history of Antigua as we drove to our 1st stop. We were graciously invited into Brian & Yvonne McMillen's house, he is Scottish and she is Irish. They are the direct descendants of the original 16th century settlers. Both of them were proud to show you around the house. We talked to Brian and found out that his dad had worked at Kodak & Xerox (Haloid) in Rochester, NY (where we used to live) We were able to walk around and observe all of their multi-generational collections (family photos, mementos from world travels, wood carvings, sea shells, glassware, ceramics, paperweights, scrapbooks and so much more). I'm sure you could go back everyday and see things you did not see before! Jacque served us some hot herbal tea in the garden surrounded by orchids and 2 parrots. Next we visited for 20 minutes the Cades Bay Agricultural Station to visit a pineapple farm & afterwards we had lunch (BBQ chicken, fresh pineapple, rice, spicy pasta salad and a green salad) with the beach surf as background music. A rum punch was provided and beers were available for purchase. Then back to the cruise pier.

Antiguan Entertaining Tour - This tour got off to a slow, unorganized start but ended up being fantastic. Our tour guide was FUN. She was knowledgeable and entertaining. We received so much information and stopped at many places for great picture taking. Lunch and beverages were good too.
