Boat ride was too long. ... - Boat ride was too long. Not enough snorkeling. Was not an accurate description of the excursion. Didn’t want to stop to pick up & drop off at other resorts. Crew was great !

We did not see turtles or barracuda... -
We did not see turtles or barracuda here, but we did see some beautiful fish. The coral has been destroyed by a hurricane which will take years for it to return to its full beauty. The current was quite strong which made the snorkeling a bit difficult for those who are not strong swimmers and those who never snorkeled were encouraged to NOT try to snorkel on that day. Our crew was fantastic and we had lunch right on the catamaran once we came to shore! Hot food with garlic bread, fish, chicken, rice, and steamed veggies. It was an excellent buffet ! The open bar was very nice and of course, rum punch! They also had dessert cakes! We took a swim at the beach where we stopped for lunch and enjoyed the water. The equipment was very good and once again, the crew was wonderful. Captain George was very knowledgeable about the area and told me a lot about Montserrat, the volcanic island which is in view from Antigua. Daniel was our snorkel guide and if the current wasn't so strong, we would have enjoyed it a bit more. But no one is at fault for the current! My daughter and I enjoyed this trip.

A bit chaotic with the pick up... -
A bit chaotic with the pick up point, given as Lydia's on the beach, Jolly beach, but is inside a private beach resort and security weren't too keen to let us in. Then the boat arrived a long way along the beach from Lydia's. Otherwise a good crew, good food and great view of the reef.

not the best - I have to say that I have been snorkeling before and this visit to cades reef was not what I was expected. The staff was incredibly rude, telling my husband they were going to "Kick his ass" due to a flipper change. I'm sorry but that is YOUR JOB. This is highly inappropriate and unacceptable. There were no instructions as to someone who would have been a first-time snorkeler. The water was quite rugged, even for someone whose and avid swimmer. Please be aware if you are bringing someone who cannot swim well or is new to snorkeling, there are high coral reef, and you are left to the trenches. I would not recommend this to a lot of people unless you are highly adventurous and can hold our own.

Don't do it - Awful experience I would not recommend..the snorkel is dreadful, fish only appear when the snorkel guide is polluting the water with yesterdays left over lunch! Don't waste your money
