Santa Maria - We’ll pick you up at your hotel in Santa Maria between 1 pm and 1:30 pm. From here, we’ll drive to our first destination of the day, the eastern part of the island to visit Shark Bay and see its famous lemon sharks up close. Here you’ll be able to enjoy a 20-minute observing lemon sharks swimming around you.
Afterwards, we’ll visit the nearby village of Pedra de Lume, which was the first settlement on the island of Sal. Here we’ll see its ancient dwellings and learn about the importance of the salt industry for the development of the island through objects and instruments used to extract this chemical compound.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Pedra de Lume salt lake, the only salt lagoon in the world located in the caldera of a dormant volcano. You’ll be impressed by the variety of colours of the landscape. Finally, we’ll visit the cable car that was once used to transport the salt extracted from Pedra de Lume.
Finally, we’ll be back at your hotel in Santa Maria at 5 pm.

Must see trip to Shark Island & Sainas - Highly recommend this trip with Edmunson & Jackson. They were punctual, welcoming & very knowledgeable. Loved the experience, particularly shark island.

Nice - Christinan, the guide, was very welcoming, cheerful and friendly. He could tell us a bit more about the history of the island. The driver was friendly too, I lost his name. The village is honestly not worth it. But it was nice to see the baby sharks swimming at your feet. Swimming in the salt lake was also a nice experience. It was a beautiful setting, in that volcano crater.

Holiday in Cape Cerde - The trip was amazing and our tour guide Nimo was great lots of knowledge he had and friendly kind friendly person he was . He was the best I would give him 5 stars.

Excellent trip 👌 - Great trip ... went all over the island ... guide KiKi was pointing out all the places of interest on the way ... very informative ... plus he became the photographer and too loads of pictures with your phone etc. Very jovial chap and kept us laughing all the way. Driver was also very good ... very careful on done dodgy roads and tracks.

A once in a lifetime experience - The Shark Bay with the small sharks swimming around your feet is something I recommend for everyone visiting Cape Verde.
The shallow water was to my knees and quite windy so my skirt got wet - in the warm sun it didn't take long for it to dry. Short would have been better though.
Slippery, so swimming shoes on.

Great half day tour - They asked us to change the day of trip which we did and the communication was excellent throughout. Tour was good, tour guide Keke wS very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Shark tour was good saw baby and adult lemon sharks. Salt Lake was very relaxing.great afternoon had by all.

Great guided tour - Kiki is a charming guide and good driver. He and his colleague gave us a very memorable trip to the lemon sharks followed by a swim in a salt lake. We even saw a turtle swimming in the marina at Pedro de luna. Booked only the day before but nothing was too much trouble. All arrangements very slick and relaxed. The tour is a perfect length too.
