  • Our public walking tours can pose challenges for participants with mobility and accessibility concerns. Tours are 90 minutes long and about one mile in length. Each participant must be able to complete the one-mile tour within 90 minutes, providing for frequent stops to view sites and for information from the tour guide. As Salem is a historical city, there are narrow and uneven sidewalks, bricks, cobblestones, and stairs. Fantastic, factual tour - This was an awesome tour. 4 of us, ages 9-40, and we all enjoyed and appreciated it. Very knowledgeable and factual, which we very much look for with these sort of tours. Tour guide (Roger) was very enthusiastic! We loved it. The only negative, (which was no fault of this tour), was the other tour group businesses using microphones and stopping next to us. They were very obnoxious. Our tour guide did not need a microphone, therefore not disturbing other people around town. Excellent job!

Respectful education - So much to learn. This was a true historical tour and not the over dramatic hokie tours. Paid respect to the women and men who fell victim to this horrible take. FIVE STARS

So knowledgeable and passionate about the history - Recently, I found out I have an ancestor who was accused of witchcraft during the Salem Witch Trials. This tour group was the only one who offered information on my ancestor. They are really passionate about the history and helped me find additional information regarding one of my ancestors. They went above and beyond to help me understand what my family went through. Truly an unforgettable experience!

Amazing story telling from Bob! - Bob was a great tour guide!!! He did on the spot re-enactments playing the accused, the accuser, the judge and jury by knowing the transcript and history. His interpretations were riveting and insightful. While my mom and I had just flown in and I didn't have any money for a tip, I dropped $40 off to the tour company for him the next day after visiting am ATM. For someone to do so much, and have such an amazing tour he loves what he does and it shows. I really hope he is still giving ing tours when I am next in Boston with friends.

Nice to visit. - Learning about the history of the area was good but really it has a park setting next to a cemetery so it's sad thinking about what the girls and families went through.

Not enough story, too much standing still - The guide was professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately as far as walking tours go there wasn’t much walking. At the first stop we stood in the same spot for 25 minutes! There was also a bit too much reference to sites we would not be seeing because they were torn down long ago. I have to wonder who designed this tour as there didn’t seem to be enough of a story to support a walking sightseeing tour on witchcraft. Lecture in a hall, perhaps. Walking around, I didn’t get it.
