Highlights
  • Vietri sul Mare - The typical colors of ceramics from Vietri—white, green, and light blue—mirror the spirit of this village, once a small port, in the waters. The two rocks in the sea, known as “I due fratelli,” symbolize the village and, according to legend, represent two brothers reunited after death by sea deities. Vietri is notable for its white plaster rococo buildings, narrow sheltered lanes, laundry hanging outside, balconies, fountains, and ceramic shop signs.
  • Torre Crestarella - Spiaggia, Matrimoni, Eventi, Ristorante e Cocktailbar - The scenic “Torre Crestarella,” a tower from the 16th century built by Spanish viceroy Don Pedro de Toledo, overlooks the beach that shares its name. Crestarella beach, with its 120 meters of sand mixed with small pebbles, is our first stop.
  • Cetara - Approaching Cetara, you’ll feel like you’re looking at a small oasis, with reflections of the houses sparkling on the water and the surrounding rocks. Cetara, once an ancient Saracen fortress, gets its name from the Latin word Cetariae, meaning “tuna-fishing net.”
  • Spiaggia dei Limoni - Next, we find “Spiaggia dei Limoni,” a small, 20-meter-long bay accessible only by sea. This preserved beauty spot is nestled in a lemon tree grove and sheltered by a rocky wall from the western breeze.
  • Torre La Cerniola - Between the sky and sea stands the tower of Erchie. Here, the silence of the natural beauty is enchanting. The Tower of Erchie, with its four machicolations at the top, is made of local calcareous stone and is well-preserved compared to other coastal towers. Its original shape has been maintained over the centuries, perched on rocks that descend into calm waters.
  • Maiori - Passing Maiori, you’ll see its ancient marine style, rich in art and cuisine, described by Salvatore Quasimodo as “an imaginary city, a history not completely lost.” Near Capo d’Orso, enjoy a swim in the blue waters.
  • Minori - Next is Minori, the city of flavor, known for producing limoncello, pasta, and traditional pastries. The region’s tapered lemons have excellent organic and medicinal properties and are a key ingredient in Amalfi Coast cuisine.
  • Conca dei Marini - When the sky blends into the sea, we reach Conca dei Marini, where in the 1700s, the Santa Rosa monastery first baked a shell-shaped cake made of thin puff pastries filled with custard and black cherries, known as “sfogliatella di Santa Rosa.”
  • Capo Conca - Beyond Capo di Conca, we stop at a beautiful bay with clear, shallow waters beneath the cliffs, popular with bathers, scuba divers, and canoeists. The “Fiordo di Furore” is irresistible for a swim, especially around midday when the sun reaches the cliffs. The deep offshore waters and crystal-clear pebbled shore are a delight.
  • Praiano - Discover Praiano and the islet of Galli, once called “the mermaid’s island,” where Ulysses is said to have avoided the captivating mermaids Partenope, Leucosia, and Legea. This part of the coast is a living paradise, where locals believed they had already experienced heaven on the Amalfi Coast.
  • Positano - Further along, we find Positano, famous for its white houses, arches, and domes. Positano is known for its rock formations resembling goddesses, colorful boutiques, and art galleries, reflecting the influence of religion and local cuisine. Enjoy the best spots for a swim or explore the city.
  • Amalfi - Continuing, we reach Atrani and Amalfi. Experience Amalfi by boat or land, walking its narrow streets with steps leading to the top of the city. This charming town features ancient white walls, a marine style, gray steps, delicious lemon cream desserts, red hot peppers sold in the lanes, green majolicas, and the historic Amalfi paper.

Additional Information

We present the ‘cherished’ Amalfi Coast, a bounty of bloom, stones kissed by the sun, and the expansive open ocean. Unified, we embark on an exploration of the untouched coastline and secluded beaches reachable only by sea, a vintage realm of ancient homes nestled behind aged churches, connected by constricted paths and stairways, with plazas transforming into ‘alfresco’ lounges, a tableau of art and culinary exhibitions. We invite you to voyage with us along the coast and partake in our planned terrestrial excursions.

Incredible experience!!! - This was one of the best things we did on our trip! Luca and Amelia were absolutely lovely, their boat was beautiful!!! Extremely well taken care of (looked brand new). We had lovely fruit and cheese platter and Prosecco. We stopped at all the beautiful sites and they were happy to let us customize as we saw fit. I almost cancelled this trip because we had just done one to Capri two days prior, I am so glad we didn’t- it was an absolutely amazing experience.

Pick this tour company!! - Both Amelie and Luca were great hosts who provided a wonderful experience. My wife and I traveled with 4 of our friends (2 other couples) and were given a private boat ride with a tour of the stunning Amalfi coast. They gave us snacks and drinks and stopped at a beachfront restaurant where we had a pretty good lunch. 10/10 would recommend this company.

Private Tour of Amalfi Coast - So Worth It!! - My husband and I booked the Private Tour of the Amalfi Coast for our honeymoon and it was the best experience and truly felt worth the money. Amelia and Luca were so friendly and made everything so easy for us. They picked us up in Positano on a beautiful boat (our jaws dropped when we saw what we’d be riding on) and then took us up the coast while pointing out all of the sights. They had Prosecco and other drinks/snacks for us on board and we were even able to stop for lunch along the way. We also stopped to swim a couple of times, which was really fun (one spot was even at a private beach!) Highly recommend booking with Direction Capri - this was such a great way to see the beauty of the Amalfi Coast!

Fall in Love with the Amalfi Coast - We had an amazing time with Amelia and Luca! We stopped to swim in a few spots and also ate lunch at a beach that is only accessible by boat. This was also a special day for our friends that came with us. We told Amelia and Luca that our friend was planning on proposing to his girlfriend during the trip. They made the moment perfect and he was able to propose with Positano as the backdrop! 5 star experience!!!

Had the time of our lives! Book it now, thank me later! - This will probably be one of the most memorable and amazing experiences of my life. I booked the private boat tour with my two sisters and it was absolutely incredible. Amelia is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. Her English is very good and she communicated with me every step of the way. She even picked us up from the train station and dropped us off at the end. Francesco seemed to be an expert skipper and had a laid back demeanor. The boat was very nice, with enough room to seat 3-4 adults in the stern and 3 in the bow. Since we got the boat to ourselves we switched between the stern and bow just to change it up from time to time :) Amelia had fresh fruit, prosecco, water, and other snacks for us on board. Amelia and Francesco were so accommodating and we were willing to let us change up the schedule a bit although we ended up sticking with Amelia's suggestions about which ports to stop at. We stopped twice for a swim and once for lunch. Pool noodles were provided to make the swims more relaxing. Towels were also provided. I truly cannot describe how incredible an experience this was. I would do it again in a heartbeat and cannot recommend the tour enough. You will love it, if you are thinking about, stop thinking and book it. You will have the time of your life! We did!

An unforgettable day at sea - Our family had the best time on the boat visiting the amazing Amalfi coast. Our guide Amelia and captain Francesco were incredible hosts, ensuring a memorable day for all of us. We enjoyed a delicious lunch at a beachfront restaurant as well as several stops to swim in the sea. We even glimpsed a dolphin on our way back! A definite must do experience!

Best tour ever! - Absolutely the best experience ever!!! Amelia and the driver were so friendly!!! They were very informative about the area. They also provided us with towels, drinks, snacks, and even ‘pool noodles’ (flotation devices) so we could relax while swimming in the water. When our first trip was cancelled because of bad weather, they went out of their way to help us change the trip for the following day, which included driving us to the train station afterward so we could enjoy as much time possible on the boat. Seeing Amalfi from the water is the only way to see the coast. Highly recommend!!! Worth every penny!!! 😀😀😃

A perfect day on the water - We had a magical day on the water with Luca and Amelia. The boat is extremely comfortable, beautifully decorated. This is the only way to see the Amalfi coast -from the water! This couple was warm, hospitable and full of excellent information regarding the sites. Do not hesitate to go with Direction Capri - it's well worth it!!
