Exceptional!!! - It's hard to put into words where this concert takes place because you have to experience to believe it. This concert is literally at the very top of the fortress. I still don't know how they got a grand piano up there. After a long day at Berchtesgaden, a short rest at our hotel, a quick dinner at Stiegl Brewery, we attended this at 8:30PM at night. It was tough for us all to stay awake, but we did. The musicians are either students or teachers from Mozarteum University of Salzburg. These musicians are anything but amateurs. The violinist solo piece (by I'm assuming a teacher) of Czardas composed by V. Monti was exceptional! This evening created a long lasting memory for our family.

An AMAZING and Intimate Experience of Music and Inspiration. Don't miss this. - This was a 5 star experience and well worth what we paid for it! The cable car ride up to the castle was easy and fun, the clear signage that showed the way to the concert was easy to navigate, the friendly and kind ushers were top notch and spoke great English and this was only the parts BEFORE the show. When the musicians arrived on stage the air was electric as the whole intimate and well-dressed audience was respectful with their attention awaiting the entrance of the five-piece group led by a magnificent violinist and an accomplished cellist. The tight group moved deftly through pieces of Mozart and other major composers with the fluidity and familiarity that only a group of talented and entertaining professionals could have evinced. My wife and I were in rapturous attention for the entirety of the 90-minute performance, buying a few glasses of sparkling wine from the cash bar during the intermission and taking pictures of the breathtaking view of Salzburg. I have traveled to Europe many times and this will rank for me among the top 10 of the best experiences I have had while here.

Could have been more comfortable for guests - Musicians were amazing and venue is very beautiful. BUT, Venue was very warm with no air flow and then they require long pants is cruel and snobby for no reason. If you’re going to require specific clothing you should cool the room with fans at least for the two hundred or so people stiffed in there. I would not do this during the summer again.
