Blue whales and hundreds of dolphins! - We had such an amazing time with Captain Kyle! He tracked down a blue whale, a huge pod of common dolphins, bottle nose dolphins, a mola mola and used the hydrophone to give us a peak into the underwater dolphin chatter. I highly recommend his tour if you have visitors in town and want to show them something unique!

Wonderful Tour! - We loved our whale watching tour! This was our best experience in San Diego. Our guide was great. We felt safe and well taken care of. We saw dolphins herding fish to eat, dolphins playing, sea lions swimming in the wild and relaxing on buoys, tuna feeding, best of all … multiple blue whales!

Amazing experience - Amazing experience. The Captain knew everything about whales and was very respectful of them. The boat was comfortable, location was convenient. Saw dolphins and THREE blue whales together. Cannot say enough good things.

Amazing Experience! - This experience was amazing from start to finish! They sent a very detailed text with arrival information, which was very helpful. Upon arrival we signed our waivers and were fitted with snow suits and lifejackets. It was in the low 70's on land and we were very comfortable in leggings, sweatshirts, and the snow suit. I would also recommend well-fitting polarized sunglasses, a small cloth to clean your sunglasses after splashes, and a wrist/neck tether for your phone/camera. We choose the very front of the boat, which is the roughest ride, but that just made it more fun and we loved it! Our Captain was Matt, who was very professional (as well as fun), knowledgeable, and informative throughout our entire trip. They are clear that there is no guarantee to see any wildlife, however, we were very fortunate to see sea lions, seals, a sunfish, dozens of dolphins, and multiple blue whales! The pictures could never do it justice! I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a wonderful experience!

Blue whales and dolphins everywhere - amazing experience - Had an amazing trip with Captain Kyle today. We were hoping to be lucky enough to see a blue whale and saw so much more - sea lions, hundreds of common dolphins surrounding the boat, off shore and in shore bottle nose dolphins and 5 blue whales. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a tour. Their boats try to disturb the sea life as little as possible to so another plus.

Incredible adventure, lots of fun! - We had an amazing time!!! Highly recommend. Very professional team both at the dock and Capt Rick. My wife and were both glad to chose the small group /fast boat tour operator. With the quiet engine, we could hear the whales spouting before they broke the surface. We decided to go whale watching as an afterthought. It turned out to be the highlight of our trip. We saw a large Fin whale make several dives, and a Blue whale. On the way back in, Capt Rick took a small detour to show us a group of dolphins (50+) he spotted feeding on a school of sardines.

10/10 whale watching! - Magical whale watching experience! Captain Kyle was informative, professional and fun! He took care of us and tracked down Fin whales, dolphins, mola molas, and sea lions. The smaller boat experience allowed us to get much closer to the smaller sea life. I highly recommend this tour and hope to do it again!

Wonderful experience - I was a little leery doing this because of the boat and unsure if we would see any wildlife. Our captain was Brock and he was fantastic. He was very informative and took care of us. We saw sea lions, three different types of dolphins and a couple of whales. He was very good explaining what each one was. I do recommend taking the snowsuit that they offer. It does get chilly out there on the water. Our day was mostly cloudy with some peaks of sun, and it was definitely a little chilly when we were going through the ocean. If you have back issues and or motion, sickness, I would recommend not doing this tour. It is a lot of bouncing. The tour did last the full three hours and is one of the better experiences I have had whale watching. If I ever come back to San Diego, I’ll be doing this again. It was worth every penny.

Passenger Pounding - As a follow-up to my prior review, two hours of getting beat-up and tossed around on Adventure's Zodiac inflatable (again, this ride set off a "have you fallen" message on my wife's iPhone) triggered a severe sciatica reaction from my wife. Something she previously has never been bothered by. We are now home and she is in bed and in pain. Again, just because Adventure is choosing to run the trip, don't assume conditions will be enjoyable or that the captain will slow down. At one point he asked passengers to raise their hand if they were uncomfortable. Which he did for maybe 30 seconds after she raised her hand. Afterall, the whale sighting was 20 miles offshore and we only had an hour to get there. Screw the sea conditions. It is not as though we are inexperienced boaters. We have owned and been around boats for many years. Including sailing and racing Hobie Cats.

If you value your back, don't do this - An extremely unpleasant experience. The session after ours canceled and ours should have been. We spent an hour POUNDING into waves to get to where there might be a whale. About half way there my wife's iPhone alarm went off saying it appeared she had taken a hard fall. Not so. Just riding in the boat. On the way back, after the last really hard jolt, she was in tears from back pain. Our reward? Zero dolphins and a single very brief whale sighting. I can't believe I paid $250 to do this.
