love beaches - Everyone always has one place they always like to go to escape all the pressures and worries of life. There is always one spot that can make you feel so at peace. It is the San Diego coast; it is the ultimate cure for all my problems. While I am there, all my obligations suddenly disappear. There are three things I love about being there: the beauty of it, the peacefulness of it all, and the places to eat. San Diego's coast is enough to make my senses kick into overdrive with unmeasurable excitement. I examine the clear, baby-blue sky and realize the perfection of life and mother nature itself. In the distance, rolling, clear-blue waves crash into one another with the force of gods fighting for the fate of the universe. I squinted into the distance of the progressing whitecaps, and I came upon a floating yacht with a dozen partying teenagers aboard the ship. Focusing my attention on the beach, I observe middle-aged adults resting on beach towels, kids making sandcastles or frolicking in the ocean, and young couples holding hands while walking along the shoreline. I shut my eyes and absorb all my surroundings. As I absorb the smell of the salty, evening air that tingles my nostrils. I feel like a laird, drifting endlessly within the wind without a care in the world, comforted by the resonance of the rolling waves. Feeling the remaining heat of the mid-afternoon day, I let myself absorb the blistering rays of the sun while opening my mouth to the bitterness of the sticky evening air. I am taken in by the soothing, relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. I stroll along, and the grainy, slick, brown–sugar–colored sand pulls my bare feet beneath and leaves a perfect imprint. Comforted by the sounds of the ocean, the chantlike pounding of the waves represses all my worries; I become engulfed by everything around me. Taking a seat down on the warm and uneven dry sand, I run my hand delicately over the smooth surface, leaving a trail from my fingertips. I pick up a handful and sift it from my palm slowly, feeling the grittiness of sand with every finger. Suddenly, I feel an irresistible urge to locate some food to quench my ever-growing appetite. As I make my way onto the crowded boardwalk, I begin to smell all kinds of delicious fried foods. It smells like the concessions and vendors at a county fair mixed with the cool salty sea breeze coming from the ocean. I smell the unmistakable scent of sunscreen as I pass by beachgoers and tourists alike. I look down the boardwalk and see a hotdog stand that sells funnel cakes and decide that my growling stomach could go for some hot dogs and funnel cakes. I cannot help but notice every bite is like I am walking on a cloud of powdered sugar while being enveloped by the warm sun rays of the now-setting West coast sun. There is nowhere in the world quite like this, so peaceful and serene. All these things are endless beauties that the average person takes for granted. Now you can see why I love this ocean so much. This place makes me feel so extraordinary. That is why it is the most comfortable place in the world.
