First time kayaking - It was a great experience. 1st time kayaking . Will do it again! Unfortunately we did not get a chance to go through the caves due to the high currents so all for good reasonsz Overall great customer service. Lajolla is beautiful!

Fun! - I enjoyed kayaking on the ocean for the first time. The knowledgeable guides shared a wealth of interesting information and were very attentive. It was nice to feel safe to go into the cave when the water was very choppy.

Great guide and tour - We upgraded our GoCity passes for an extra $85 to a guided tour. Totally worth it because we were able to kayak into the caves and learn more about the habitats and sea life in the area. We also lucked out and were the only two boats with our guide, Layne, who was awesome: very knowledgeable, passionate about the ocean, and comfortable in the water. We chose to leave our phones in a rented locker (not included in the rental price, but available for a small fee) so we wouldn’t lose them or get them wet, but there are dry bags for purchase if you want them. FYI- if you’re not wearing shoes that are strapped to your feet, they’ll have you leave them on the beach during the tour. This ensures they don’t get carried away. We had a good amount of waves but never felt nervous or concerned about tipping the kayaks. We’re considering the kayak and snorkel based on our experience; it was a little cloudy so we didn’t get to see as much underwater from our boats, but it was still a great time.

Amazing experience - Christian was an amazing tour guide! He was super knowledgeable, kind, and patient with our group. He knew a lot about the area and wildlife and had an amazing attitude with those of us who were not the strongest kayakers. I would book again in a heartbeat! Thank you Christian!

Great time and views! - Our tour guide was very nice and informative. I had never kayaked before and I felt super comfortable going into and out of the ocean and seeing the caves. The sea lions came up to say hi and that was pretty neat. My husband and I had a great time and we would definitely do it again!

Misleading - This tour is misleading. There is only ONE cave that you MIGHT remotely possibly get in to. The water is tough rough to allow the Kayaks in about 85% of the time. So we paddled out to the caves and paddled back. We could have done that on our own. On the upside, they do give you interesting commentary along the way and the team is very nice.

Terrible - Terrible time. Didn’t launch out until 45min later from our scheduled time due to them not having single kayaks. And then they gave us a kayak without a backseat which made it really uncomfortable. We did not have a great experience.

There are other companies to book from. - We signed up for a 10am group so we would be done by Noon to be able to check into our flight. We were 30 min early to check in like they asked us to be. we got our stuff and were asked to go sit down by the kayak's and that our tour guide will be there in a little bit. 10am three other groups come down and not one was our group they were with other companies. 10:30 comes around more groups come down but not ours, So I asked the kids with the company we signed up with for an update. they said many times he should be down very soon. 10:45 he finally gets there, with our group that was 30+ minutes late. we didn't get into the water until past 11am and got back to shore at 12:30. we were very upset. also the helmets and life vest were extremely smelly, the entire group had to take our helmets off because they were all so strong with the smell. I would recommend looking at other companies.
