Family outing blast! - We had a blast on our tour! Our guide was fun, flexible and knowledgeable. It was a party the moment we entered the van until the moment the tour was over! We will be definitely coming back but with a larger group! Thanks for everything guys!

Great Tour! - Great tour! Oscar was a great guide…tour and food ( taco/lobster) was amazing! The tequila tasting was excellent especially if you’re a tequila drinker. All tastings were very generous in portions. Restaurant dining was directly oceanfront! Oscar even allowed us a little extra time for shopping. Note: if you’re traveling in to Mexico for this tour, prepare for wait times getting in and out of the border.

DO IT!!! - My husband and I were in San Diego mid-week in January and wanted to do the Lobster & Tequila tour. We reached out to Ryan the owner who suggested a private driver as there were no other people signed up that day for a group tour. He suggested we take the trolley to the border, which we did! That was $2.50 each and super easy for us to navigate to from our hotel. Oscar is Ryan's contact person in Mexico who helps facilitate all of the stops, he was readily available to us if we had questions and updated us with itinerary etc beforehand. Getting across the border took about 10 minutes without any issues. Felipe, our awesome driver, was waiting to pick us up on the Mexico side. We followed the same route that the Lobster Tour would have, with one deviation due to an unforeseen business closure (there was a storm with water damage). We had amazing tacos, stopped at a liquor store with more tequila than I've ever seen, sat at an ocean side bar in the sun, and ended with huge grilled lobster tails ocean side. Oscar was available throughout the day if we had any questions or issues. I used Google translate a few times during day which worked perfectly. Coming back took about an hour at the border in the pedestrian line. We definitely plan to do this again! We had so much fun and I can't recommend Ryan, Oscar or Felipe highly enough!

Lobster & Tequila Tour - I booked this tour for my husband’s 40th birthday. We drove from San Diego for the day every spot that we went to on the tour the food was great and the hospitality was awesome. Our driver Felipe was so friendly, and took us to a couple extra spots on the way that we wanted to see. I would highly recommend this tour, thinking about coming again for my birthday.

Great Time with a Private Driving Tour - My husband and I were visiting San Diego in December 2022 and decided to check out Baja Norte. Native Californians and have never been over the border in San Diego, though we are regular visitors to Baja Sur. Since they don't want US rental cars to go into Mexico, we decided to contact Baja Society Tours about their Puerto Nuevo Lobster and Tequila Tour. Since we were there Christmas week, they did not have enough people for the tour but offered us a private driver for the day. Deal! We walked over the border and met our driver, Rafael, in Tijuana just past the immigration building. Rafael was great - on time, courteous, and we felt safe with his driving. If you do a private tour though, we do recommend paying extra for a guide if your Spanish is not too good or you feel uncomfortable wandering about on your own. My husband and I both speak enough Spanish to get by, and we always do our best to speak it when we are in Mexico, because .... it's their country. Anyway, we had fun trying out our rusty espanol with Rafael, and I used my phone translator to find phrases I didn't know. The first stop was an amazing seafood tacos restaurant. We concentrated so hard on eating that we did not get the name, lol. The tour involves a lot of eating so you have to pace yourself, but I would eat more at this stop next time. Next stop was Encanto Restaurante - small menu but amazing location on the cliffs. Had fun watching the waves break over the back patio and catch people. After that was Sin Fronteras Brewery - nice location on the cliffs and good beer. Last was lobster in Puerto Nuevo. It is a very small town almost 100% catering to tourists - stalls with the usual Mexico stuff and restaurants all competing for your attention. Rafael took us to La Casa del Pescador. Get the lobster Puerto Nuevo style - cut in half and fried in a pan with lard. Delicious! All in all a very fund day.
