Your Wine Country tour begins with a Napa Valley wine tasting (subject to change based on availability). Here, you’ll be presented with a flight of wines hand-picked by the winemaker. You’ll learn about the winemaking process, and what makes the winery special as you sip and stroll through the vineyards. The wines you taste are generally not sold in stores, so be sure to stock up! - Sonoma Valley - Next, the tour brings you to Sonoma County.
- Sonoma Plaza - The historic Sonoma Plaza is filled with small, boutique shops and restaurants, catering to every taste. You can grab a bite in a restaurant, or take your food to go and enjoy your meal on the vast lawn surrounding the historic Sonoma City Hall.
- The Plaza Bistro - You also have the option of adding our gourmet lunch with a wine pairing at the Plaza Bistro, right there on the Sonoma Plaza.

Sit back, relax and take in lively lessons and live demonstrations by wine connoisseurs. This is the only Forest & Wine journey that includes all wine tasting charges. Confirmed departures all year round, welcoming participants of all ages.
The tour gives you the choice of enhancing your Wine Country and Redwoods Tour experience by treating yourself to a special three-course culinary experience at the historic Sonoma plaza.
- NOTE: Tastings are usually held at Ru Vango Winery, Mayo Family Winery and Jacuzzi Family Vineyard, but locations are subject to change, depending on availability.
- You must have a valid ID showing you are 21 years old to participate in the wine tasting
- If lunch upgrade is selected, your group will sit together for a table-side presentation of local wines paired with each expertly prepared course of California cuisine.
- For hotel pickups, if your hotel is not listed, please select the Hilton Union Square at 333 O’Farrell Street (the meeting point is outside the Mason Street entrance).
- Bring a child safety seat for kids under 8 or shorter than 4’9” (1.45m) for their safety

Muir Woods and Wine - Muir woods were beautiful! Our driver Ben was so knowledgeable and even stopped at a place for everyone to take a picture of the Golden Gate Bridge

Fabulous tour of the wine regions - Fabulous guide, small group of 10 in a mini van.
Intimate experience with the wine guides in each of the three locations.
Plenty of wine to try.
Muir woods walk was absolutely beautiful, about an hour there.
Tip: don’t book the optional lunch. There are loads of great other restaurants at the lunch stop, much cheaper

A lovely day trip! - The tour guide, Kimmy was wonderful. Absolutely loved the trip to Muir Woods. Could have used another full hour there! Kimmy was very attentive to participants ahead of the drive to Muir Woods. She asked about motion sickness and gave recommendations to manage it for the windy roads to the redwoods. Really appreciated that!
The winery excursions were lovely and Kimmy shared a lot of historical facts about the state and wine region, along with taste-testing tips.
It was a lovely trip!

Kimmy rules! - The reason Kimmy has so many great reviews is because she is AMAZING! She really makes it such a great experience - funny, informative, helpful and kind. My favourite parts were Muir woods and Jacuzzi winery. I loved the whole experience though - I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a feel for the area but doesn't have a lot of time to do so.

Winery and Fun - They were later 30 min for pick up. The optional lunch is low in quality and expensive. You could walk around and select much better food for less amount of money. Other than that everything was great.
