Superb tour company - Carla and Mr. Juan saved the start of our vacation to Belize. Our overnight flight was delayed 7 hours and both of them worked with us to make sure that everything we had planned was still able to fit into our schedule. We cannot begin to express our appreciation and how much their flexibility made our trip so awesome. First, when our flight was delayed at 1:00 AM in the morning I had immediately sent an email to Carla letting her know of our delay and that we would not be arriving at 6:30 AM as planned. Unfortunately she did not get this email in time before Mr. Juan (her husband) left to meet us at the airport. When we arrived 7 hours past our arrival time you would have never known he had been waiting 7 hours for us. He was friendly and gracious and SO giving of himself. We originally had scheduled a cave tubing experience with a tour of Xunantunich for our arrival day. Because of the lateness of our arrival they arranged our tours so we could still experience everything we had planned for two days including the ATM Cave tour. This resulted in our cave tubing and ATM cave tour as being the last people each day going on the tours. When we did our ATM tour we had several tour guides comment about how late we were starting and the accommodations that had been made for us to come that late. This deserves a huge shout out for Carla working so hard to make this possible since the ATM Cave is so totally awesome. After our cave tubing experience Mr. Juan accompanied us to San Ignacio where we invited him to join us for dinner as we asked if he could recommend a good restaurant with authentic Belizian food. We were not disappointed as he led us to a small restaurant, Ko-Ox Han Nah, that had terrific food. Mr. Juan helped guide us through the menu to select a fantastic Belizian meal and drinks. After dinner he made sure we found the Airbnb house we were staying at in town. I cannot express how much I appreciated his help in this because he made it so easy, that if left to my own it would have been a difficult and stressful time to have found the house on our own. The following day Mr. Juan had given us clear directions on where to meet him for the Xunantunich tour. He was extremely informative and interesting as he toured the site with us. After the tour I felt we were saying goodbye to family member as he introduced us to Blanca who escorted us to our ATM Cave tour. When it comes to food Blanca is the highlight of our trip to Belize. The picnic lunch she prepared was awesome. She was willing to share her recipes by emailing the recipes to us. The ATM Cave tour is so unique and awesome, that although we have done a number of fantastic excursions during our weeklong stay in Belize, this stands out as the best. I cannot thank Carla and Mr. Juan enough for all their help to make this happen. Immediately after our ATM tour we left for Placencia and we would not have had the time to have experienced this. Please do not hesitate to book with St. Leonards Horse Riding tours, you will not be disappointed and you will have people who really care about you!
