Unforgettable Costa Rica Adventure with Exceptional Guides - It was nice to visit the Poas Volcano, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, and the Coffee Plantation accompanied by Gary and Almond. The trip was delightful! Both of the guides showed deep understanding and related some interesting stories of what we saw in nature. Gary's knowledge as a specialist and Almond's enthusiasm for the" rainforest" of Costa Rica only enhanced the trip. Every second was filled with joy and education, be it the majestic volcano, vibrant waterfalls or mesmerizing coffee estates. This was by far the best excursion for us and we were looked after extremely well during the whole tour. Strongly recommend.

Great experience - Our driver and guide were very, knowledgeable, and pleasant to be around. The hike was mostly easy, but there were some gard climbs. Throughout the hike, he made sure to provide options for an easier route back to the vehicle. The food was just ok. It was a buffet with hotdogs, pizza, and not many Tika dishes. The Waterfalls and Vilcano were beautiful and worth every single step. Thanks for a great experience!

Best trip! - This was truly one of the best trips I did in Costa Rica during my two month stay. Truly could not believe how much we got to do. From the delightful coffee farm, to the amazing Poas volcano, ending with the beautiful La Paz Waterfall Gardens - everything was incredible. If you want to make the most of your day, you will not regret this tour. We learned so much and had an incredibly fun experience. The tour guides were incredible as well.

Great experience - It was a long and rainy day, but it was worth it! We did went to the coffee plantation, see the Poas volcano (which it was lucky for us that we can see clear that day, and just a warning, there are some days that you can’t. Weather is unpredictable.), ate strawberries, and saw the waterfall!

Paos and La Paz Splendor - Spent the whole day with our guide, Orman. He was very courteous and knowledgeable about the area and history. First stop was a coffee plantation. Orman took the time to explain the process for growing coffee beans, from planting to harvesting (pickers earn $20 per bean bushel). Next was the Poas volcano. Unfortuneatly, due to low clouds, the bottom of the volcano caldron was not fully visable. But you could hear the hissing of escaping volcanic gases. On our way to our final stop, we enjoyed some fresh strawberries at a roadside stand. Best tasting ever! La Paz waterfalls did not disappoint; because of the frequent rains, all of the falls (about 7) put on a great show. Using a very laid out stairway system we were able to get close (felt the spray) to most of the falls. As a bonus, I had no idea this was also an animal sanctuary. There were many birds, butterflies (landed on your hand), frogs, monkeys, hummingbirds, snakes and jungle cats. Because of his frequent visits, Orman had formed a bond with some of these animals (they would come to him thru the cage). Afterward, we were provided a very yummy lunch buffet. This had to be the best tour of our stay.

All day activities - I have to say it was an absolute great experience. I enjoyed every minute. It’s definitely an all day excursion with lots of walking and hiking uphill including steps so dress comfortable and be prepared to walk. Lucky for us it did not rain but up in the volcano area was a little chilly so bringing a light raincoat was a good plus which you will need in the falls because you will get wet. I think they give you a little bit of everything in this tour with great history and discussion shared by our guides. The stops at the strawberry place and coffee place you have to buy the items yourself nothing to really try but this is how you increase and help with tourism at the end of day. The wildlife rescue area at La Paz did feel like a zoo experience but it’s okay still nice to see animals and up close. The buffet food was good enough options to eat but anything besides water and natural juice you have to buy. Pick up and drop off at hotel is great! Be prepared because evening traffic in San Jose is no joke so something that would normally take 20 minutes depending on your hotel, can take over two hours. This is not their control. I suggest before leaving La Paz falls use restroom and snack up otherwise you will be hungry and tired during the long commute.
