Additional Information

Take a journey with us to the secluded, undisclosed and ‘secret’ territories of El Yunque, bypassing the traditional ‘slides’. This is a rare destination, uncharted for the typical traveler. We will likely be the sole visitors in the region. You can count on this getaway to be the most memorable part of your island visit. Join us in discovering a less traversed path. Avoid the unauthentic experience provided by other companies that transport you in crowded 30-passenger vans to places intended to be untouched and serene. Our trail leads to unmarked regions in El Yunque with very little human presence, maintaining its pristine nature. El Yunque has a distinct ecosystem unlike any other, steeped in rich history disclosed during the drive. With stunning landscapes during the commute and an even more magnificent rainforest, it is an adventure-filled day with river crossings, immaculate blue water pools, cliff jumping and more. Great experience and liked the small group intimacy. Thank you Sarah!!! - It was definitely an "experience" We weren't quite sure what to expect. Sarah was great. She was experience and provided alot of the history. When we first met she explained what to expect for the day and how challenging it might be, but we had now idea. It was great and highly recommended. I would definitely encourage you all to have a disclaimer about what all is entailed and definitely the type of clothing and shoes to wear in preparation along with maybe a hiking experience level., ie beginner hiker, intermediate hiker, experience hiker). Although we were wearing tennis shoes the rocks were quite slippery after getting our shoes wet. Great experience overall. Thank you for your patience :-)

Amazing Time in El Yunque w/ Brandon and Alexis ! - Wow, what an excellent tour with Brandon and Alexis. My girlfriend and I could not have asked for a better tour of Yunque with a little bit of adventure. The waterfalls and rainforest were beautiful and we always felt well taken care/ safe of with our guides. If I come back to PR, I would book a tour with them again!

Highlight Experience Away from the Crowds! - This experience with Brendan and Sarah was the highlight of our trip to Puerto Rico. Brendan was on time in picking us up, his car was clean and comfortable. They were both super fun to be with. The experience in the rainforest was very special. Brendan supported us as needed during the hike making us feel very comfortable. We had different levels of abilities and Brendan figured that out and accommodated the various needs of our group. Being in such a remote spot was amazing - we felt like the only ones in the rainforest! It was a challenging hike but Brendan and Sarah made everything go smoothly, and for those of us who could do a little more, they brought them to a very special part of the forest. We stopped at a very fun and local place for lunch on the way home. It was a day that we won't forget and Brendan and Sarah were the perfect hosts for it.

Challenging but so rewarding!!! - We wanted a challenging and rigorous hike and that is exactly what we got. Our guide, Jesus, was great at picking out the perfect spot to begin our adventure. We climbed on rocks, swam through waterfalls, and made our way through parts of the forest. The views were breathtaking and the adrenaline rush kept us going the entire three hours of the journey. This was definitely one of the coolest things we have ever experienced.

Trip w/ Mother (55 yrs. old)/Son (21 yrs. old): WORTH every penny. I'd do it AGAIN in a heartbeat. Awesome memories. - Absolutely fantastic tour. It was worth every penny. Highly recommend. I loved that it was a small group tour. Just 2 couples and the guide. We were transported in the guides car with Puerto Rican music pumping, windows down, feeling every twist and turn in the rural roads, the car ride was exhilarating and set the stage for an INTIMATE tour experience. It was the highlight of our mother (55 yr. old)/son (21 yr. old) trip to Puerto Rico. This was my son's spring break from college and we had so much fun on this tour and made amazing memories. The scenery was FANTASTIC, the hike was physically CHALLENGING and getting to the caves was a bit scary getting through the waterfall (the guide placed my hands and feet) but I would do it again in a heart beat. TIPS: do NOT wear sneakers, wear water shoes with socks (make the $20 investment, you won't be sorry), must have grippy soles and ties to make tight are best. It is muddy and slippery. The guide is kind, patient and a great picture taker :-). Guide supplies water and snack. You will have the opportunity to jump off a cliff into the water if that is your jam. My son did several jumps. We will NEVER forget this tour. Don't wait. Reserve your spot today.

Worth the effort - This experience was a blast. I chose a 1 pm start time because my teenagers didn't want to get up early, but I wish I had done an earlier time. Be prepared for a really physical activity. The hike up involves climbing up a steep, rocky slope, and the way down is equally tricky. Our guide, Jean Louis, was really great at showing us (okay, mostly me) how to place my hands and feet to maintain stability. Although we weren't alone at the waterfall, it did feel pretty private. Jean Louis took some great pictures for us/of us. He was generous with his time and shared a lot of his knowledge of the area. He was also willing to tweak the plan to fit our needs, which I appreciated. All in all, I would recommend this to people who are already physically active and who don't mind getting wet and dirty. I needed the following day to recuperate--I wouldn't recommend planning a hard physical activity or long walking tour the next day. I could see why closed toe shoes are recommended, but I did fine in Tevas (and they're easy to swim in). I think watershoes would also be okay. My kids wore sneakers, which were fine for the hike, but they needed to take them off to swim.

Solo travelers, use this company :) - I had a great time. Jean was very knowledgeable about PR, El Yunque, the Taino natives. Etc. The climb wasn’t as hard as I thought, and with Jean’s help, it was fun and pretty easy to maneuver. The hidden falls were gorgeous and I can’t wait to share the photos I took. So much to photograph in only 5 hours. This was a solo trip, but I felt very safe. Great tour! Will certainly use this company when I return with friends.

Difficult but worth it! - I had a great time!!!! I haven’t hiked in 3 years so I was struggling a little bit but it was so worth it! Airam did a great job making me feel safe. He even bought me ice cream afterwards - it was so sweet 🥲 my favorite part was the swimming.
