  • San Juan - Plaza Colon is the meeting place. Here we start with a brief introduction. You will also learn the reason why Spain built a walled city in the 1500s.

  • Parroquia San Francisco de Asis - Church founded in 1756. You will learn about its history and other interesting details. We only enter if it is empty or few people. We cannot interrupt people who are praying.

  • Castillo de San Cristobal - The largest castle built in America to defend the city. They will learn from their History.
    (WE DO NOT ENTER THE CASTLE) You can visit them after finishing the tour. It has an entrance fee.

  • Calle San Sebastian - Walk through the Cobblestone Streets and Colorful Buildings. San Sebastian Street is where the largest Festival in Puerto Rico is celebrated in January.

  • La Puerta de la Bandera - They will learn about the Flag of Puerto Rico and the changes it has gone through. You can also take photos here.

  • Iglesia de San Jose - Second oldest Church in Puerto Rico 1532. You will learn about its History. We only enter if it is empty or few people. We cannot interrupt people who are praying.

  • Santa Maria Magdalena de Pazzis Cemetery - An old cemetery located on the edge of the beach and near the Castillo del Morro. They will learn from their History.

  • Cuartel de Ballaja - Place where Spanish soldiers lived. They will learn from their history,
    Bathroom stop if available.

  • Castillo San Felipe del Morro - Castle built in 1539 to defend the entrance to the bay. They will learn from their history. (WE DO NOT ENTER THE CASTLE) You can visit it after the tour. It has an entrance fee.

  • Plaza del Quinto Centenario - Plaza built in 1992 celebrating the 500 years of the discovery of America. They will learn about its history and the details it hides. This is where the Telluric Totem made by the great artist Jaime Suarez is located.

  • La Puerta de San Juan - The door of San Juan Bautista. It was one of the main gates of the walled city. You will learn about its history and interesting details.

  • La Rogativa - Walk with a view of SanJuan Bay. From here you can see part of Juan Ponce de Leon’s house. They will learn about the Rogation.

  • Casa Blanca Museum - House of Juan Ponce de León 1521. You will learn about its History. We don’t enter the house. You can visit it after the tour. It has an entrance fee.

  • Catedral Basilica Menor de San Juan Bautista - Oldest church in Puerto Rico 1521. You will learn about its history and other details.
    We only enter if it is empty or few people. We cannot interrupt people who are praying.

  • Calle de la Fortaleza - Learn from its History. This is the main street of Old SanJuan. There are many shops, restaurants, crafts, galleries etc…

  • Capilla del Santo Cristo de la Salud - Learn from its History and End of the tour. From here you can continue walking along Fortaleza Street to have lunch or visit shops.

Walk with me through my Old San Juan on the only tour offered exclusively in Spanish. You’ll discover its history, legends, secrets, and more. Old San Juan is the oldest city on the entire island of Puerto Rico and the second oldest in the Americas. It has been over 500 years since its foundation. The city was constructed with protective walls to defend against Pirates and Corsairs who aimed to seize it. We start our tour at Plaza Colon, strolling through the cobblestone streets and vibrant buildings. We’ll explore the churches, monuments, castles, architecture, and culture. Our goal is for you to fall in love with our island and have an amazing time.

We start in Plaza Colon. This Plaza has a statue of Christopher Columbus. You must arrive early as we are punctual. I recommend taxi/uber to get there. If you bring a vehicle, you can park in the Doña Fela Parking lot near Plaza Colon. You must be at the Plaza 15 minutes before starting.
