Great experience of the El Tatio Geyser tour - The El Tatio Geyser tour at dawn was an incredible experience. Arriving early, we were greeted by a spectacle of steaming geysers against the crisp, early morning sky. The play of light and steam created a magical atmosphere. Francisco, our guide, was excellent, dispensing vast local knowledge (ecology, history, present regional social and economic challenges) through engrossing storytelling and a great sense of humour. He really made us feel like we were exploring the desert with a friend who just happened to know everything about the region. The couple of recommendations he gave us for good eateries/ restaurants in San Pedro also proved excellent. Logistics and breakfast on the day were impeccable.

Great tour - The tour guide was kind and prepared, she had a calming energy that was perfect for such an early morning tour. She shared a ton of information about the geysers, I learned a lot! We also stopped by a freshwater wetland and a small town.

At Puka Rumi quality is top! - 25 July with Francisco made the tour to the Geysers. Jorge the driver and Francisco as Guide gave me a super fun day. Francisco enjoys imparting his archaeological knowledge so that we can better understand the formation of the landscape. Breakfast was extensive, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, cheese, fruit, cake and hot drinks. Besides visiting the Geysers we have also been able to admire various animals: flamingos, Vicuñas, Foxes, a wild rabbit, llamas and various birds. Thank you Jorge and Francisco for the top excursion!

Natural beauty - This experience was well worth the cost of the tour, as getting there at dawn is a feat. Guides were friendly and knowledgable. Breakfast was delicious.

Go with a different tour company - I joined 5 tours in Atacama through viator and 3 were under this same company Pukarumi. I was very disappointed with 2 of the tours and this is one of them. While the description says tour is in English, be prepared that they mix you with other people and 90% of the time the guide was speaking in Spanish (Or Portuguese, I couldn't tell as both aren't languages I am familiar with) and he occasionally remembers the English speakers and translate a few of his sentences into English. Or sometimes you have to prompt him to translate and he still forgets the next time. Things like how long you have at the place, where or when is the next stop is always forgotten to be translated. I have no clue if he even shared the background of the place in the other languages but he definitely didn't do it in English It made the whole experience quite bad even though the Geyser was amazing and definitely a must visit. It is very cold but as long as you are adequately dressed, definitely doable and worth the early wake up. Definitely suggest English speakers find a different agency or check the mix of the group before joining any of the tours with this company
