Relaxation at its finest - Absolutely beautiful! This is one of the last things we did on our trip. I really recommend it to be the last thing because it’s so relaxing. The water is incredibly clear and warm. We rented a vehicle for our stay in San Pedro de Adama so we did not do a tour on this one. We booked directly on the website. It’s very easy to do. It’s easy to find. I don’t know that I would book a tour unless you don’t have a way to get there. The owners keep the property well maintained. We booked a morning session from nine to one. They do keep track. Right before 1 o’clock they get everyone out of the Hot Springs because they have another group waiting. There are clean bathrooms, and clean places to change your clothes. There is a pavilion to sit in the shade if needed. This is a perfect way to end a trip!!

Puritama Hot Springs - When we went, we were able to see pools 2 to 8... Pool 1 was closed, but it didn't interfere at all. Crystal clear, warm water. There is a bathroom and a place to change. A tour that is worth it.

Puritama Hot Springs - Fantastic place! The experience of bathing in fresh thermal water in the desert is priceless! Do not let to go. My wife and I hired the Araya tourism agency (I highly recommend it).

Relaxing - My visit to the Puritama Hot Springs in the Atacama Desert was relaxing and rejuvenating. Diving into the hot springs amidst a unique desert environment was a feel-good experience. The feeling of tranquility and the natural beauty of the thermal pools made the day memorable.

Bathing in 8 hot pools in the desert - Beautifully located swimming pools, great scenery, very nice driver. You can swim in 8 different pools, some with waterfalls. Changing rooms and clean toilets right next door

A really lovely way to spend a couple of hours - This is a really lovely, tranquil place. The thermal waters cascade through a series of pools surrounded with natural foliage. It's a delight to soak in the warm (not too hot) water watching little birds flit among the reeds or gazing up at the surrounding canyon walls and blue sky. The facilities are pristine and very well maintained and people are respectful of the space and others who are there. It is well managed by unobtrusive staff. The booking system means that numbers are restricted so it doesn't feel crowded. However, this does mean that you need to book in advance (we only booked the day before). Take your own small padlock for a locker if you want to leave things in the changing rooms, but you can easily just leave your things on the edge of one of the pools. There is a bit of a hike down from, and back up to the carpark, since the pools are in the bottom of a canyon

Beautiful place, but expensive and with terrible service. - The place is beautiful, in a spectacular location, at the foot of the Jorquencal ravine over the Puritama River. The facilities are very nice, but basic. It is reached via route B-245, which is in poor condition, but accessible with any type of vehicle. The entrance is expensive (if you go as a tourist not staying at the Explora de Atacama), approximately USD30 per person. To keep in mind: you have to walk about 500/600 meters downhill, which when returning can become a challenge due to the height and slope. In the changing rooms, they offer lockers without locks (if you didn't bring one, the only alternative is to carry your things at all times), and they do not offer rental of towels/towels/robes nor do they sell shampoo, soap, etc. The bar/confectionery opens late and also, if someone reserves one of the 8 pools, you cannot access it, even if you have paid full price. In short, what is really beautiful is the naturalness of the place and the facilities in general: the walkways and access to each pool. But the service is bad and the staff VERY BADLY predisposed. It was worth knowing it, but I wouldn't repeat it.

Disappointing and Very Rushed - The place itself was beautiful, but I would definitely not recommend this company for a tour. The duration was listed for 5.5 hours, but the total trip was only 4--with a half hour delay returning included. This meant we only had less than an hour and a half actually at the hot springs, which wasn't enough time to even see all the pools or relax at all. This time included changing time (with very few rooms for all the people, so there was a line) and the hike down and back. This meant less than 10 minutes per pool and you had to walk far distances between them. We also selected an English guide and our guide was unable to communicate in English, so we missed almost all of the information about the hot springs, the volcanic activity, and Indigenous culture (we only understood a little thanks to our knowledge of some Spanish). She was nice and this was likely not her fault, but the tour company shouldn't advertise a bilingual guide if they can't actually provide one. Lastly, there was no communication about a very steep hike going down and up to the springs. This trip was listed as accessible and I have a mild knee injury and use a cane, and the hike aggravated the injury. Overall, for spending half our tour budget on this one trip, we were very disappointed at a rushed, exhausting, and unguided experience.
